Hee! Frog! (Of course, the photo's attached to this story, which says amphibian population numbers are dropping. And if you know anything about amphibians and how tied they are to the environment, that's not good.)

Chris Rock will be hosting the Oscars this year. I would so be there like an obsessive little puppy anyway because it's the Academy Awards and I'm a freak, but Chris Rock?! Woohoo!

I also found out about A New World hopping links across IMDb. Christian Bale, Colin Farrell, David Thewlis ... eeeeeeexcellent. *end Mr. Burns voice.*

And, according to IMDb news -- Jim Caviezel is struggling to land the lead role in the new Superman movie - because director Bryan Singer wants an unknown actor. Well, don't we all know how annoyingly difficult it is to compete for the lead in Superman Returns? I mean, when I went in for my audition, I had to wait for the other six billion people on the planet who were ahead of me to audition first and it did absolutely nothing for my nerves. How did your auditions go, by the way?

Another news story from IMDb -- The OC beauty Mischa Barton has laughed off reports she fought with hotel heiress Paris Hilton at a Hollywood party - insisting they were just play- fighting. Could you imagine a catfight between those two toothpicks? It'd look like playing pick-up-sticks with a box of uncooked spaghetti.

Laughing bank clerk humiliates robber Is it bad that my immediate response was, "Aw, poor robber"? *giggles*

Urgh. I suppose I should get up and get dressed so I can go cash my paycheck and shop and stuff. *yawns*

My auditions went fine, thanks for asking. With all the Melbournian actors in the first link there, I might have a good chance.

A friend of mine worked in a bank and once saw from her office a robber coming in and asking the (young, shy female) cashier in training to give him the money, pointing a gun at her.

The cashier replied in her most professional voice that it was just a commercial agency and thus they had no money, and that for any cash withdrawal, he had to go to the other agency (giving him the directions to go there).

The robber left very embarassed, my friend called the other agency to warn them (but he never showed up, not THAT stupid), and then went to comfort the traumatized cashier, while trying not to laugh because it was the best (and funniest) reply to a rob attempt she'd ever witnessed (and working in a bank, she lived quite a few of them).

Your Remus icon reminded me of something that made me giggle myself stupid the other day.

I have lots of soundtrack music on my iPod, and I happened to look down while a song from Quest for Camelot (shuddup, I liked the music) was on.

And damn me if the crazy evil bad guy song wasn't being sung by Gary Oldman?

That's two out of two roles I know of where he plays somebody rather mentally unhinged. And I've heard rumors of more. The man does know how to act sane, yes?

Well, on the plus side, if the apocalypse is right on schedule, we should have raining amphibians any week now.

I usually hop around Yahoo News every morning, looking for interesting stuff. (God, how I wished they just sent me this stuff. "TP, we know how you love stories about things exploding, so we're sending you this news story ..." It'd save me so much time. ;))
