So yay, did I cash my paycheck, and lo, did I journey to Suncoast, and it was good. Or, you know, wrought with peril and cheese. Take your pick.

I didn't spend more than usual, but Suncoast was having one of their Replay weekends, so I did let myself go a wee bit overbudget. This week's acquisitions:

The Day After Tomorrow: Yay! I own the DVD, and now all is right with the world. Of course, how long that lasts after those stupid mutant powers of mine start getting ideas ... well, I'd tie down anything you don't want floating away on an errant tornado or massive wave. Your choice. And yes, I'm watching it now. Shocked? No, of course not. What was I thinking?

May: I kept hearing it was good and scary, so I figured, what the hell?

Classic Disaster Movies: So Suncoast has this deal going where you can get three $10 movies for twenty bucks. Most of 'em are crap, but these are obvious classics. I mean, who could forget disaster films starring Chuck Connors, Larry Hagman, and Kim Cattrall?

Random Crappy Horror Movie Collection IIIVVAGFTHFJSXX: Erm, I think it's obvious that's not the title, but I think it's also obvious I'm too lazy to get up off my ass, cross the room and find out what the real title is. All I know is it's four horror movies that undoubtedly suck like Hoovers and I imagine they'll be fun to snark to.

Phantoms: You have my permission to point and laugh at me. I won't hold it against you.
