And this is why. You might want to avoid this rant if you're Catholic, but considering it's one of the reasons I gave up on the religion I was raised in ... well, I had to share.

You know, I plan on teaching my kids to treat everyone with the respect and love that they deserve, regardless of whether or not they like their lifestyle. Isn't it about time I'm not allowed to get married or have any children, either?

Sheesh. World's chock full of war, famine, pain, abuse, hate, and racism, but not allowing gay people to marry? That's top priority at the Vatican.

Don't mind me. I'm still trying to figure out why we're saving other countries from religious freedom but we apparently can't have it.

Bitchy? Me? Oh, yeah. Where was I? Oh, right.

Hmm, I read the rant. Here's my two cents. Some good some bad. Grey matter explosion at its finest.

I heard about the vatican issuing it's statement about being against gay marriage's. And its plan to have them banned from tyin the knot and adopting a kid. Well, I have a rather distinct point of view on this, that kinda goes both ways.

Ahem.

1. The vatican should change the title of the statement to read(in big bold letters)Please Sue Us.
2. I believe the catholic church has every right to do what they want. Hell, the boyscouts have done far worse.
4. Didya hear Dubya is going to push for a total 'ban' on homosexual marriages and push for an ammendment that would only recognize unions between a man and a woman. Some food for thought eh?

Now, here's some personal thoughts on the matter. Honestly, who cares about this? See, this is why we get so uptight. America is all about sex. Sex sex sex. We sell it in out TV shows, magazines. Basically every form of media you can think of. The rest of the world is on the right track. They view sex as it is. Sex whereas the american version is "Want it, but you cant have it." I mean hell, we're the only country that has a ratings system for movies almost primarily based around sexual content. The whole world is on this straight line when it comes to sexual preference. And the USA is shooting far left of the rest of the world. And what the rest of the world considers normal we just have to balk at.

And btw tp. The other countries are outwardly controlled by religion(in the public eye) Whereas the catholic church gives head quietly under the podium.
