apocalypsos: (work sucks)

The auditor is coming here tomorrow to look at the room. The room, by the way, is still a disaster area, regardless of any attempt I make to organize it.

I may end up hanging myself with the crappy mouse cord. At least then, the stupid thing would be useful. *whacks mouse against the wall* But hey, at least I've got the best excuse in the world -- "I've only worked here four days." :)

Ah, chai latte. I hope you never go away. (If they try to send me back to the other station, that may be part of my argument in opposition. "You can't send me back there! The Starbucks is here!")

EDIT: [livejournal.com profile] anniesj has an important story to tell that you NEED to know.

chai isn't japanese. It's primarily considered indian. It's black tea with honey and spices (ginger, cinammon, vanilla, etc).

Cha is the Japanese/Chinese word for tea is all.

Thanks for describing it better. I can never remember exactly what's in it, I just know I'd pick a venti chai latte from Starbucks over at least one of my mother's cats and more than a few of my distant relatives.

Is this when I mention that I suspect one of the spices is crack?

Especially in the case of the Tazo Chai Creme

That wouldn't be much of a surprise, actually. :)

Indian? Which type of Indian language - Hindi? Tamil? Malayalam? There's about 50 Indian languages out there and they all sound different.

Bengali - which is somewhat similar to Hindi as they both derive from Sanskrit - calls it "cha" as well. Malay is "teh". I've always considered "chai" to be a modern invented word.

I meant that the drink is considered indian. I have no idea about the word.
