Well, at least I get to keep my icon.

In any event, back to NaNo results for today:

4,170 / 50,000
(8.3%)

The urge to call in sick from work to stay home and write (not to mention get wasted) is all-encompassing, and I'd totally do it if I hadn't already told everybody I was going to drink last night. The last thing I need is Colin, God of Sex telling me a hangover is not an excuse.

Bah. If I called Bossman and told him I wanted to stay home and drink today, he'd say okay.

See, you think I'm joking about that.

Yes!! I think I'll add them to my daily prayers list.

Maybe go light some candles in a church... or multiple churches...

yeah, we are almost sure to lose the chief justice, but we can hope the others will hold out for four years...

Urgh ... I can't. Stupid annoying work ethic. If I don't go in today, the work load tomorrow is going to be atrocious.

(But I am so seeing about taking a day off of work next week or something, probably Monday so I can NaNo all weekend. *sigh*)

Bossman was always nice enough to ask me if I'd got to go out drinking over the weekend. But alas, never nice enough to buy me some booze. *sigh*

I'll give Colin, God of Sex credit. I know he voted for Bush, but when I said I was in a bad mood because of the election, he wasn't a dick about it.

just switched on the pc and was clueless

There was another guy here who voted for Bush, and he was very nice about it because he knew I was not in the best of moods. But when he asked why I didn't like Bush, I started talking, and I just ... I started crying again.

Shit. *wipes eyes*

I've been thinking that today would have been great to call in sick -- and then go home, and watch the Lost eps that I'd downloaded but hadn't been able to watch (due to codecs issues that weren't solved till I downloaded and set up DivX last night) because if there's ever been a day for desert island fantasies it's today...

But alas, I didn't see the Kerry concession news till I was already at work.
