You know what's my favorite thing about The Walking Dead of Wilkes-Barre?

I just had an idea for a play on that whole writer's-block cliche. You know, if things slow down, have a guy walk into the room with a gun.

I think I'm going to have a guy walk into the room with a gun ... and then have him immediately get eaten by zombies. *maniacal cackle*

EDIT: *whistles happily*

Maybe you can slip in a parody of the classic woman-running-from-danger-and-trips-and-falls scene? (The best zombie one was Night of the Living Dead, IMHO.) Kids in the Hall did a hilarious parody of it where some slow-moving zombies chased after an equally slow-moving couple, and she had to stop and take off her shoes and throw them like four times.

You keep teasing us with bits of these books. I shall be very sad if we don't get to read it sometime soon.

(And blue-period Dom there in the icon will be very sad too. He'll pout. And no one wants that.)

Agh. Angst has arrived in the story. It needs to make with the vomiting real soon now.

Goddamn it, I'm only around 2800 (started Tuesday night, and haven't touched it since) and I'm stuck. Maybe another flashback to the axe murders would help.

When in doubt, murder someone with an axe.

I tend to hop around and write other scenes later in the book instead of writing straight on from chapter one. That helps immensely. (Right now, I'm working on the last chapter. The muse says work on the ending, I work on the ending. :))

I do that too. It helps--but then sticking all the bits together is wretched.

Just got another nine hundred done. Whee, misusing work time!
