I just finished dying my hair medium golden brown.

*examines myself in mirror*

Holy crap! Turning my hair this color makes my eyes look green!

Oooooooooooo. Cool. :)

EDIT: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is my new crack. See, this is why I love home improvement shows, and why I hate what they've done to Trading Spaces. *g*

Hilde's done two or three rooms that weren't totally awful. But it's what's-his-face, Doug, who's the total ass. He went off to sulk for a whole episode, when the neighbors wouldn't let him destroy the homeowners' stuff.

Ooo, YES. Doug is awful. He started out sort of okay and quickly regressed until I think every room he did had those stupid little white stool with the colored fabric tops. If I'm remembering correctly, Frank did the same thing to a few of his rooms as well. (Frank should only ever have been allowed to do kids' rooms and the occasional kitchen. In fact, one of my favorite rooms ever was that Mexican-themed one with the metal wall.)

Of course, then there was Dex or Del or whatever the hell her name was from the first season, who was clearly schizophrenic.

And meanwhile, there was Vern, making nearly everything he designed pretty and having to deal with the rest of these yahoos.

Also, someone needs to throw a brick at Paige.

I loved most of Vern's designes, and the blonde... Genevieve, maybe? (I haven't watched in ages because my cable company sucks rocks.) Some of hers were kind of strange, but most were pretty pleasing after a minute. She did this Asian room with a sort of faux-rust wall, and the homeowner loathed it but I thought it was awesome.

I loved the basement Frank did, full of books upon books upon books, and the Mexican kitchen with the striped ceiling.

And I think the moment I knew Doug was beyond redemption was when he drew and quartered the room in fuschia and grey. I mean... YUCK.
