Yay for the semi-regular call to my mother. Nothing really new since the last time I called, except that my hometown voted mostly for Bush (I'm not really surprised since I saw the results for the county, but still ... *sigh*).

The only really new thing was that my mom took Otis to the vet to get declawed and neutered, and my dad is currently praising Otis's intelligence up and down. Why? Because they were supposed to keep Otis there for a few days, but they sent him home early after only a day and a half because he refused to eat. As soon as my parents got him in the house, they let him out of the box and the first thing he did was walk smugly over the cat food dish and chow down. Hee. Who says cats don't have personalities? ;)

My hometown not only voted for Bush -- they also voted for Keyes. O_o

Hee. Who says cats don't have personalities? ;) Weirdoes that's who. I have five and it's impossible to mistake one for the other once you get to know them. Even dogs have personalities for crying out loud. The only animals I know who don't have personalities are domestic birds, but that could just because I fear them all with a fiery passion, and avoid them at all cost.

declawed? that's not a good thing for a cat usually. they choppie off the first knuckle usually.

was it all 4 paws? or just the front ones?

My mom gets all her cats declawed on the front paws and neutered when they're about six months old. She used to have the vet declaw them the old way, but I'm pretty sure she's started doing the laser delawing with the last couple.

My cat has one hell of a personality - I've never met a cat who didn't have one. Hell, most cats I've met have more personality than some people I know >.
