You know, aside from the fact the ending of every Extreme Makeover: Home Edition makes me cry, it also fulfills my desire in every home improvement show that the first thing the entire team should do is demolish the crap out of the house. Hee.

Completely unrelated question--you have an AlphaSmart, yes? I want to ask for one for Christmas, and since you're the only person I know who has one...tell me if it's worth forfeiting all my other presents for this expensive thing? (Also, is it easy to carry around? I've seen pictures, and it looks heavier than a laptop.)

I adore my Alpha Smart. It's not that heavy at all (it weighs about as much as a keyboard without the number pad on it, which is basically what it is), it's very durable, it's got lots of room on it for files, it doesn't use up that many batteries ever (I've had it about a year now and I still haven't put new batteries in it), and it fits into my larger purses. I can't recommend it enough. :)

Unfortunately, I don't have any large purses(but then, I need to replace my old one anyway, so who knows, that could change). Does it come with a carrying case or anything?

The carrying case is an extra $20, I think it was, but it was worth it. It's lightweight, but it's still got enough room for extra stuff like story notes and notepads and things.
