kielle ... (And before I do this, I'd just like to point out that Fanfiction.net has 56 fanfics listed in the game section under "Minesweeper". Yes, that "Minesweeper". *eye roll*)
1) Sally forth to Fanfiction.net. Gird thy loins. Plunge in.
2) Choose a book, movie, show, etc. you have never heard of (or, in a pinch, at least one you know nothing about aside from the name) that has at least ten fics listed.
3) Read only the first page of story summaries.
4) Using what you have learned from these summaries, describe what this book/movie/whatever is about. Be as silly as you like, but ONLY use whatever you just learned...
Okay, so I checked out Hellsing, and this is what I've figured out.
There's this chick named Integra who fights vampires, like you do. And she hangs out/fights/sleeps with/hell-I-don't-know with a guy named Alucard, and now I have proof someone who's not me watched The Monster Squad. Whoever Pip is, she's missing an eye, which I'm betting is under the couch cushions like everything else that gets lost. And there's another character named Seras who ... hell, I don't know. I'm figuring that her best usage would be to stand off to the side with a baseball bat during important plot twists and wail on any Mary Sue who suddenly comes flailing in from the sidelines.
EDIT: Oh,
tree220? It's not monks, but how about priests?

Date: 2004-12-14 09:19 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's Hellsing the anime in a nutshell.
Now, Hellsing the manga is way cooler. It has undead Nazis bent on world domination. It doesn't get much more over-the-top than undead Nazis. And the undead Nazis have a pet catboy named Schrodinger. Squee!

Date: 2004-12-14 11:06 pm (UTC)Though referring to Pip as "she" is even funnier in light of the fact that it's almost kinda canon now.
