EDIT: Once again, I find myself watching the Hallmark Channel. I'd like to take this opportunity to request that a geneticist be called in to prove using expert scientific evidence that in no uncertain terms could the magic and wonder that is Santa Claus have ever have produced from its loins either Kathy Ireland or Steve Guttenberg, no matter how nice they might be in real life.

HOLIDAY AGGRAVATION EDIT: Also, let's issue a moratorium on movies that are bastardized modern-day versions of A Christmas Carol.

You can all have my snow. We had a white-out this morning. Oh, and a 20+ car pileup on the Interstate, just minutes from my house. Hurray for jack-knifed Mack trucks and local news interrupting every show on TV every half hour to pretend to update me on the status of said accident, whilst only actually telling me that the broken survivors are at local hospitals and the not-broken survivors are at local hotels. Um, thank you local news for being so helpful. Bugger off, evil stupid anchorpeople. /rant

Okay, Scrooged gets to be an exception. (I think I'm just sick of five thousand made-for-Lifetime/Hallmark/TBS/whatever movies that are all the same ripoffs. Especially that Tori Spelling one. Urgh.)

Ick. Made-for-TV is rarely a good sign, and I refuse to watch the Hallmark channel just on general principles. Lifetime either -- my grandmother calls it "the wifebeater network," in her own snarky commentary on the theme of half those movies it shows.
