Do you know that I only recently realized that my parents never asked me what I want for Christmas? I mean, they know about the Amazon wishlist, so if they've looked at it in the past month, they've noticed the cameras. And if my mom went and bought me DVDs, then hopefully she got pimped the LOTR:EE box set and thought, "Hmm, she'd like that." 'Cause, seriously, one or the other would make my Christmas. :)

Also, a half hour ago, the sky opened up here and a torrent of monsoon-level rain fell for about twenty minutes. *sways back and forth* I'm dreeeeeeaming of a cleeeeeeeear Christmas ...

Ha. I live in New Zealand. It's summer here. Ostensibly. I'm just lucky I like the rain.

Color me jealous, about the summer and the New Zealand bits. :)

Someone at work was telling me that the past couple of weeks have been the worst May weather we've had for ten-fifteen years.

The good thing is, it's summer enough that I can dance in the rain without dying of hypothermia. But, um...yeah. The weather's been...special.

One of my friends wanted to have a barbecue Saturday night. Bwahahahah. *coughsnort* Not at this rate.

But if it's actual rain, at least you've got a double-digit temperature. It's 7 degrees here.

I had the joy and pleasure of walking through a very windy snowstorm to pick up my paycheck and then take it to the bank. Fun times, fun times.

I was walking under that torrent. Seriously, the peak just decided to hit right when I was in the middle of two buildings.

Nearly three hours later, my jeans are still damp below the knee, and we do not speak of my socks in the presumably watertight boots.

Seriously, you can have the weather around here if you want it. It's cleared up, but we're under a snow emergency. Since last night. We've gotten about ten inches (which is nothing to some people), but considering that we only get a snow storm of this intensity about once every five years, everyone is OMGWTFBBQing! There is lots of "Oh NOES! We're all gonna DIE!!!

This morning, it snowed. Then, right after that, freezing rain. So I had to get out of bed at the crack of dawn to shovel snow in the rain.

well . . .

you could be snowbound with a foot of snow and trying to figure out how you're going to get your xmas shopping done.

Good point. (Then again, I don't know what the weather looks like in PA just yet.)
