I just got my Five Things That Didn't Happen to Hugo Reyes story set up exactly how I wanted it, and I've only got an hour before I have to leave for work. Hee. I've got impeccable timing. *g* Well, in any event, at this rate, I should have it done by Sunday, at the most. *happy dance*

In other news, 114,000?! Jesus, I can't even wrap my brain around that. I mean, the town I grew up had 1,800 people in it. Scranton has 76,000. One hundred and fourteen thousand people is a little less than the population of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre combined. The more I do the math, the weirder it gets. And I really need to stop watching the eyewitness videos of the tsunami. I mean, this is the stuff that interests me, that I like to know, but I can't watch it anymore because I have nightmares about rising waters like that. *shudder*

EDIT: I'm having Malaysian for lunch again. Roti canai -- mmm, yummy. Chicken curry -- good. This chicken curry -- eh, needs work.

DISTRACTION OF EDIT: Hey, anybody want to kill time contributing to a Lost drinking game? *eg*

My hometown has 35,000 people living in it, so I'm trying to picture 4 to 5 times that number.

Alternatively, around 100 times the size of my college population.

It boggles my mind.

Last night Dad asked me how many people live in Mesquite (the suburb of Dallas where I live), and I told him that as best I could recall it's about 100,000. So, yeah, that being 2000 census data I could easily see it being in the ballpark of 114,000 by now.

The population of Topeka, as of 2000, was 122,000. So, basically almost my entire hometown wiped off the face of the Earth by one really big fucking wall of water.
