This is pretty much the most revolting thing I've read all week. If my mother had been there for that, she'd have a police record for assault and battery right now from beating those two up. Whatever problems my mother and I might have had, she never would have put a pet to sleep over a broken leg or told either me or my brother that it was our fault. Friggin' bastards.

EDIT: OMG, if you love Lost, click here! *dies*

That's just disgusting. This is why I dislike people.

Is there music to the Sawyer song? 'Cause, you know, in the school library with the volume off.

The Llama Song

Not that it helps, since you're stuck in school. Damn.

Also... OMG the song has been linked on [personal profile] trollprincess's journal. Oo; *has a tiny fangirl moment*

Duuuude.... I just had to smack Andy around. HE should have told me about the Sawyer song since I was TALKING TO HIM.

But noooo. I find it via [livejournal.com profile] devildoll who found it on [livejournal.com profile] musesfool's friendlist via [livejournal.com profile] calligrafiti who found it via [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess.

But that's okay. At least I FOUND it. No thanks to Mr. I'm-Hosting-It.

And it is SOOO GREAT! I love it!

And don't smack Andy around! He is after all the wonderful guy hosting the file-which-is-probably-totally-killing-his-bandwidth. Oo;

*g* Considering how many places I've seen it mentioned...? Yeah. *g* Andy's bandwidth is getting eaten up.

But that's what happens when you make BRILLIANT THINGS!

One of the frustrating thing about the various rat communities is the number of people living at home who have rats, and whose parents are actively against it. Lots of rats "accidentally" get loose or get killed (fed poison, trapped, etc.), and of course many of them don't get taken to the vet when necessary. If people treat animals bad--and they do--they treat small animals extra bad. It's very upsetting to read about it and know I can't do anything. :( I do a lot of sitting on my hands when I read some posts.

That Sawyer thing was hilarious! I don't know the original song, but I will now have to check it out, of course. ^_^

That post has now hit [livejournal.com profile] childfree as well. There are no words for the sheer fury. Like much of the Vet community, I want to know what happened - and how long it took for someone to call CPS.

The grandmother was there - surely she didn't stay silent?!

Well, given it's a "Grandmother" she might have been raised to "Keep your tongue silent, woman!" --- the age old seen and not heard bit. I will be so pissed off if they did take the dog out of circulation, as it were.

I'm just amazed that two low-lifes like that produced two apparently responsible and caring children.

Date: 2005-01-10 03:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] the-lizard-rat.livejournal.com
... ... ... what they did to those kids was absolutely and incredibly stupid. (This is another reason why I'll never have kids --- I might turn out worse than these two morons)

Behold the power of blogs, people; someone should really get the word out to that area and let the media know just WTF was going on.

That's disgusting. Bad parenting and horrendous amorality about an animal in their care. And the scarring on the kids? Forget getting custody of the poor dog. Any person who would treat the life of a dog in his or her care as nothing more than an inconvenience and a chance of striking at a kid is not a fit parent. Get custody of the kids before they end up on the six o'clock news because one parent or the other has decided to teach the ex-spouse a lesson about child support by starving them to death.

I am so glad I saw the Sawyer song first...I couldn't have enjoyed it if I had read the vet story beforehand. There are some people who just make the assault charges worth it.

Does anyone NOT see the irony in "You'll just have to live with your mistake?"

I'm so thankful I've authorized certain parties to shoot me should I ever become one of those people.

That's terrible.

I know. My parents told my brother and I, when he was 6 and I was 7, that our cat `ran away because you pulled its tail'. We spent weeks looking for that cat and it wasn't until years later that we found out they'd had it put down because it was incontinent.

Of course they laughed when they told us the real story. Hilarious, no?
