According to Entertainment Weekly, there's a couple of box sets of After School Specials coming out on DVD. OMG, WANT SO MUCH.

EDIT: And Fraggle Rock on DVD, too?! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

I just added Fraggle Rock DVDs to my wish list. Now all I need is Danger Mouse to come out on DVD and my childhood regression will be complete.

During the eighties, they had these hour-long shows at about four o'clock that were about the cheesiest things imaginable. It was all "Johnny has to raise his illegitimate baby, and he's only sixteen! WAH!" and "Mary's friend is practicing black magic! WAH!" and "Judy's being molested by her gym teacher! WAH!"

I know that sounds wrong, but they were funnier than they were supposed to be. Most of that was because they had a ton of actors starring in them way before they got famous (at least, famous during the '80s). For example, one of the ones they mentioned in the magazine was Robe Lowe wanting to date Kristy MacNichol, but he couldn't because he knocked up Dana Plato and he had to raise their baby. Whom he wanted to name Wolf. Because it just wasn't amusing enough already. *snerk*

Fraggle Rock? Proper muppet Fraggle Rock and not the stupid cartoon Fraggle Rock that keeps masquerading as proper Fraggle Rock?

Well, there's another addition to my wish list...

Fraggle Rock, well, rocks.

Madam Trash Heap was definitely one of the characters that stays with you.

Isn't the feeling of true youth sentiment delicious when you buy old things like that on DVD? I bought 'Legend' and 'Dark Crystal' on DVD today myself <3

Aaaand some libraries are banning Jon Stewart's book. Good morning! (Time to break out the Jon Stewart 'I'm not gonna be your monkey' icon.)

And to cheer you up, here's a fun clip of Jon introducing Congress. I love when he goes 'Y'all ready for this???' Hee. :)

Eh, Fraggle Rock just never did it for me; I think I was too old when it came out and sorta missed it.

I am, however, waiting with wormy tongue (bated breath) for Henson et. al. to start hauling out the box sets of the original Muppet Show.

*shakes fist at her* Your muppet icon is hypnotizing my kitten! He just had to notice it, and now he's attacking my screen!

You owe me a monitor! AND Jim Henson owes me one, now! AND the maker of the icon! AND my kitten! And his fleas are going to have to get me a new one, too!

p.s McGraw (my kitten) says he likes your icon.

If memory serves, there was one made in the late 70s that involved Helen Hunt doing some type of drug, then jumping out a window. She made a reference to it when she hosted SNL one time...

*Snicker* Usually things in your memory are a lot better than the original... I'm a little scared to watch the movies as well because I'm afraid they won't be as cool as I remember them.

In case you'd forgotten, this is with reference to the Danger Mouse downloads.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back - the brother wasn't answering his E-mail for a while.

And I'm afraid I can't help you. He says he can't remember where he got them from (believable; the brat downloads more stuff than anyone I know), but says it was probably off a friend's computer.

So, uh, sorry.
