So they showed twenty seconds of Fantastic Four footage on TRL. The maniacs at AICN are bitching, but I really don't have a problem with it so far. I mean, hell, it's only twenty seconds of footage, and it's not all as bad as they're making it out to be. My favorite bit is the one where Johnny snaps his fingers and makes fire, but mostly because it gives me bunnies for other fandoms, which probably wasn't the intention of the clip. :)

I'm sorry, what century is this again? So here's a restaurant to avoid in the L.A. area. Tell all your friends. *eg*

For anybody who may not have noticed, Zach Braff's been nominated for the Writer's Guild Awards for Garden State. And Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy as co-writers for Before Sunset.

A Romanian couple named their son Yahoo as a sign of gratitude for meeting over the Internet, a Bucharest newspaper said Thursday. Hey, don't laugh. The name Yahoo has a long and glorious history. Heck, just look at Yahoo Serious. Mmm-hmm.

The principal of a Palo Alto middle school may not invite a popular speaker back to an annual career day after he told girls they could earn a good living as strippers. *eye roll*

An article about Lost and Claire's baby. Contains spoilers for the show's promo shots, so a warning if you want to avoid.

EDIT: Hey, guess what?! You can buy Catwoman on DVD on Tuesday! *flails* Oh, wait, I'm sorry, that wasn't a flail, it was a spastic fit. My bad. :)

AMUSED PROGRESSIVE OF EDIT: Hee. Did I mention that WJFK isn't going to be playing Bill O'Reilly anymore in the afternoon? At least, that's what Don and Mike said yesterday, when they said the station set up to tape O'Reilly's show rather than broadcast. Bwahahahaha. So much for spending an hour every afternoon blurting out, "What the hell is wrong with you?!" every five minutes. (Like the other day, when he said poor people are lazy. Ooo-kay, then.)

FRUSTRATED WRITER OF EDIT: Is it the weekend yet? Is it?! I want to write fic, damn it! *throws tantrum*

About fucking time they took him off WJFK. I'd rather have listened to G. Gordon Liddy.

I was just thinking of Yahoo Serious the other day. It's absolutely time for him to make a comeback.

check out the quote from Sandy Cohen about Bill O'Reilly on The O.C. last night - i can't remember it word for word (they'll probably put it up on the official site) but it was something about punishing Seth by making him watch the pompous ass. -snerk-

there were also comments about Whedon doing X-Men, which is why i adore this show

Don said something about them hiring the Sports Junkies since they closed down that other station. Hell, I don't even know who the Sports Junkies are and I'd still pick them over O'Reilly. (Who, unfortunately, I'm listening to right now. *sigh* GO AWAY, ASS.)

Heh! The Sports Junkies used to be on JFK several years ago in the evenings (where Ron & Fez are now). That was before Opie & Anthony were hired & then unceremoniously fired. Since then, they'd moved the Junkies to mornings on HFS (which is now Radio El ZOL siempres mucho fiesta!!!!!!!1!!) which is an Infinity/Viacom station like JFK. I think the Junkies would do fine in the Midday slot, though since Howard is leaving at the end of the year, and I've heard mutterings of Don & Mike moving from Afternoon Drive to Mornings, who knows what the schedule will end up like at JFK?

Sorry. I'm as big into radio as I am into fandom. I always love it when Don & Mike talk shop. I'm fascinated by the B.S. that always goes down behing the scenes.

*dies laughing* Don and Mike kept playing the radio station's new theme yesterday, and the more they did it, the more I giggled.

I'm a total Don & Mike junkie. I get pissy at work if I have to leave my room with the radio from three to seven. I can't wait until the next absinthe show ... those are my favorite. :)

I'm going to go spaz about this in FMA circles now. Thanks!

I knew you'd mention Yahoo Serious. I knew you'd know.

Having not seen the promo for the next Lost--is it possible that non-pregnant Claire is just part of a flashback?

Yihk! I keep getting traumatized by ads for it in recent comic issues of everything.
