Okay, so far? Sandra Oh's dress was very pretty, and I did like Laura Linney's dress. Also, Teri Hatcher's hair is really too poofy. (I would have started this sooner but I was dying my hair. Oops. Bad timing. ;))

Cate Blanchett's dress is such a gorgeous shade of blue. Pretty. *covets*

Ugh. They're talking to Will McCormack and -- HEY! Turn the camera back to Zach Braff! I'd rather look at that!

Okay, Jennifer Garner's bright red dress is fine, with the sole exception (so far) of that goofy tassel thingy right under her cleavage. ... the fuck?!

Yay! Don Cheadle's signing autographs. That's why he's so cool. :)

Oh, WOW, Mariska Hartigay's got on such a lovely pink dress. *bounces up and down happily* I hope you win, Mariska! *is a total SVU fangirl*

I really like Denise Richards's sparkly dress, and it does a nice job of subtlely hiding the fact that Denise is starting to show a little. (You can tell she's pregnant again when she turns to the side. Onward, the draping covers it up.)

Nicole Kidman's dress has peacock feathers, I think. *eye roll* And Renee Zellweger's dark dress combined with her dark hair is not doing her any favors. With all the black and the puffiness in her face, she looks like a grown Emily the Strange with a food allergy.

UGH. Lisa Ling, back the fuck off. These people are trying to get into the building. Sheesh. Also, Halle Berry's right breast is going to pop out of her dress in about five minutes.

YAY! William Shatner! *flails* And he was watching the playoff game before he left! Hee.

Oh, Johnny Depp. You're so going to get picked on by the fashion police for that facial hair. And for the fact you seem to be suddenly Irish. WTF?

YAY AWARDS SHOW TIME! *bounces around the place like a freak*

Melina Karakerides? Bad dress. (And yes, I probably spelled it wrong. Oops.)

I hate her character, so Christine Lahti really needs to turn in her very nice, very pretty yellow dress.

Okay, from far away, Renee doesn't look so bad -- OMGWTF did I just see Orlando Bloom?! *is an idiot*

And the Best Supporting Actor is ... CLIVE OWEN?! YAAAAAAAAAAY! That's so cool. *happy dance* Mmmm, Clive Owen. Ooo, that's it, baby, keep talking. *swoons* Aw, I think Natalie Portman was starting to cry for him. That's so sweet.

And the Best Supporting Actress is ... Natalie Portman? Okay, whatever. Uh ... that dress is doing nothing for her figure. Aw, I like it when young actresses who win for the first time are all cute and rambling.

The Steinbrenner commercial makes me giggle far more than it should.

And the Best Supporting TV Actress is ... Anjelica Huston! Not Drea de Matteo, so it works for me! Yay, Morticia Addams won an award! (I know she's not Morticia, but damn it, that's my favorite role of hers.)

Boy, Hilary Swank is just all teeth, isn't she?

And the Best Supporting Actor is ... (Please, GOD, be William Shatner!) ... YAY! SHATNER! And he hugged Spader! *claps ecstatically*

The donkey commercial was so cute. Hee.

Diane Lane's dress is a pretty color but I really don't like the way her straps are set up.

Jim Carrey, please stop making jokes. Kthxbi.

And the Best Actress in a TV Drama ... Ooo, they really cheered for Mariska ... YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! MARISKA WON! Numfar, do the dance of WOOHOO! Uh, cold in that room, Mariska? Woohoo, she thanked Chris Meloni! God, I love her. :) Aw, and look at her family! Aaaaaand now I'm crying.

And the Best Actor in a TV Drama is ... Ian McShane? Sweet! (Okay, so I've never seen the show. Sue me. I'll get it when it comes out on DVD, hopefully.) "Mine!" *snerk*

So far, I'm having a really great night in the category of "DAMN IT I WANT YOU TO WIN WIN NOOOOOOOOW!" So here's hoping Lost wins best TV drama. *crosses fingers, wishes hard, ritual sacrifice of bunnies*

Oh, Sam. Your tux is velvet. I'm so sorry.

WOOHOO! Incredibles!

And the Best TV Movie or Miniseries is ... The Life and Death of Peter Sellers. Okay. Geoffrey Rush was in it, so it couldn't have been that bad.

And the Best Actor in a Comedy is ... oh, please be Jason Bateman ... YEEEEEESSSS! Is this like the year that everybody I want to win wins or what? Okay, Cate Blanchett, but I can't get everything I want. Just, apparently, most of it. *bounces up and down happily* Hee. I like it when actors come prepared for their acceptance speeches. And awwwwww, that was so sweet to say to his wife.

Okay, seriously, did they just not finish Halle Berry's dress or what? And that brooch is just ... *sigh* Also, Finding Neverland! *loves*

And the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical is ... Aw, Emmy Rossum looks very pretty ... ooo, that bodes well for Kate Winslet ... Annette Bening? *sigh* Okay. I wanted Kate Winslet, but what can you do? (This is how I pay for when Lost wins later, right? Right?!) Hmm. I kind of don't like it when it looks as if the winners practiced their acceptance speeches in their living rooms. You know, like this. "The lunch at the pizza joint was delicious." Okay, that bit was cute.

And Best TV Drama is ... DAMN IT BE LOST ... I hear cheering for Lost ... I'll give Evangeline credit, she looks gorgeous ... oh, fuck The Sopranos ... aw, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Okay, never seen Nip/Tuck, but since I know it's good, I'll let it slide. Okay, since I didn't get Lost, here's a picture of Maggie in a pretty dress and Ian and Jorge in tuxedos.

And Naomi Watt's presenting Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. You know, they can make up for not giving Kate her award by letting it win Best Comedy. I'm just saying.

Oh, yeah. Teri's hair = not good. And Nicolette's dress is the best one. Hmm.

And the Best Actor in a TV movie or miniseries is ... Hee, they let Felicity announce William H. Macy. That was cute ... Marcia Cross is on my Get Out of Heterosexuality Free list. I'm just saying ... Hey! Nobody warned me I'd be seeing Jonathan Rhys-Myers! ... Geoffrey Rush! Yay! Well, who didn't see that coming? *snerk* I wouldn't say kissing Clint Eastwood's daughter is the best part when he's sitting in the audience if I were Geoffrey.

And the Best Actress in a TV movie or miniseries is ... Hee, Glenn's clip was so meta! ... Julianna looks very elegant tonight ... YAY GLENN CLOSE! Ha. I love Glenn Close.

Glenn Close is introducing Closer. I'm not really paying attention because ... well, I didn't see it, so yeah.

And the Best Foreign Film is ... oh, man, I really need to see all of these, don't I? ... Ooo, Javier looks hot tonight ... The Sea Inside! Yay!

Jeez, Jim Carrey, are we boring you?

"And will the Golden Globe go to Sarah Jessica Parker, Debra Messing ... or a Desperate Housewife?" Fuck you, Foreign Press. The actresses have names. I know you're trying to save time, but now I really hope one of them wins because people keep lumping together like that and it's pissing me off.

Helloooooooooooooo, Minnie Driver's cleavage. Ooo, wait a second. Patrick Wilson looks yummy without hair extensions and the frilly shirt.

Diana Kruger's dress must be cutting off the circulation to ... well, everything. And ... uh, is it falling off or what?

And the Best Screenplay is ... Sideways! Yay! I liked Sideways, so that's cool. Okay, it's kind of scary, because my story's permeated my brain so much that all I can think when I see Paul Giamatti on screen is, "... the hell? Toby doesn't wear glasses. But then again, that's exactly the pair he would wear."

And the Best Actress in a TV Comedy is ... Teri Hatcher! Works for me! I would have rather had Marcia Cross, but as long as it wasn't Sarah Jessica Parker or Debra Messing, I'm cool. Okay, I don't like Susan sometimes, but Teri Hatcher's kind of adorable. "Has-been"? Aww. *hugs* You were an integral part of my high school years, Teri Hatcher, you and Dean Cain. So there. :)

I flipped over to ABC during the break and yay for a new Lost commercial! (Although it really didn't have new footage, but whatever!)

Laurence Fishburne introduces Hotel Rwanda. I am fucking dying to see this movie. Love Don Cheadle. I said that, right?

Okay, why is Lisa Marie wearing a cape? Just 'cause your father's Elvis doesn't mean you can get away with that shit, you know. And the Best Score is ... The Aviator! Yay for Howard Shore. :) All right, I still think Leonardo DiCaprio is cute, so I'm just going to apologize upfront.

And the Best Song is ... oh, Mick Jagger is so winning this ... dude, Wyclef did the Hotel Rwanda song? *covets* ... ooooo, Jude clips ... See? Told you so. Only Mick Jagger could get away with wearing that suit. "All our kids" -- hee.

Prince is introducing Ray, I'm guessing. Prince, shut up and let them applaud you. Speak up, please. Aw, fawning all over Jamie. (If you haven't seen it yet, GO, DAMN IT.)

Hi, Ron Howard! *waves* And the Best Director is ... yay, Clint! And his daughter's giving him the award! Awwww. (Okay, well, maybe not.) Aw, look at how much they love Clint, because he's cooler than every single one of them put together. Ooo, his tux is very nice.

And the Best Actor is ... C'mon, Jamie Foxx ... oh, Jim, stop mugging ... okay, if Paul wins, that's cool, too ... YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Seriously, SEE THIS MOVIE. See that reaction in the crowd? That's for a good damn reason. And he did the singing bit. *flails* Aw, listen to him talk about Ray. Hee. His rambling's better than any of Jim Carrey's mugging all night long. Dude, I want to go to Puffy's party! Awwwww. he made me cry, too! *hugs him lots and lots and lots*

Why couldn't they have done the Cecil B. Demille award during Desperate Housewives or Arrested Development so I could watch those instead? Well, hell, at least Boston Legal is on. Yay, Shatner!

Robin Williams gets an award. Bah.

Ha. I love how they showed Orli and then cut to Johnny Depp. Orli introduces The Aviator. Mmm. I love his voice and the movie, so he can just keep talking. Oh, yes.

Okay, Charlize's hair is questionable, but I love her dress. And the Best Actor in a Drama is ... Leo! Yay! Aaaaand I am officially the only one happy for him, aren't I? Leo, I thought you were really good! *waves* I wish Johnny could have won, too, but Leo had the showier role and he did well, so good for him. *watches as everybody else I know who loves Johnny Depp has a spastic fit*

And the Best TV Musical or Comedy is ... Yay! Desperate Housewives! *swings Marcia Cross and Teri Hatcher around the room* Granted, not funnier than Arrested Development, but also not Sex and the City, so WOOHOO.

Kate Hudson introduces Sideways. I have a mini-squee, because I really did love Paul Giamatti in that movie.

And the Best Actress in a Drama is ... Hilary Swank! Yay! (Need to see that movie.) Remember to thank your husband, Hilary! First things first! Her dress is a lovely color, but the cleavage is kind of unflattering. Thank your husband, Hilary! Say "Chad Lowe." You got in trouble for it last time, so say "Chaaaaad Looooowe." THANK you. Sheesh.

That kid in the Diet Dr. Pepper commercial needs to die. A lot. With barbecue forks.

Sylvester Stallone introduces Million Dollar Baby. I don't care. (About Sylvester Stallone, not Million Dollar Baby.

And the Best Musical or Comedy is ... Sideways! Hey, wasn't Phantom, so it works for me. *grumblegrumbleEternalSunshinewasbettergrumblegrumble*

Oh, yeah, hate her peacock feathers.

And the Best Drama is ... The Aviator! YAY! Loved that movie, really.

I'm pretty sure I saw Jude Law from afar. Right now, they're interviewing Natalie Portman, who's pretty but is wearing a flapper-like dress that looks more like a really long wife-beater. *eye roll*

What is that movie about anyway? I've heard it is good. The commercials, though, really leave me wondering what is so great about it. Is it really just about two couples who are trying to sort out who should be with whom?

Ian McShane deserved it. That character and his portrayal are one of the few cases where something on TV has completely blown me away. One of those cases where every time you think you have the character figured out, he reveals another layer, and then you go back and watch again and realize the layers were always there, you just didn't notice them. Great performance.
