HAPPY CO-WORKER OF EDIT: You know what's one thing about my job that's actually cool? It's that I just put this Charlie/Claire wallpaper on my computer and turned the color scheme to olive green and they're just letting me. :)

OTHER EDIT: DUDE! Shaun of the Dead got nominated for Outstanding British Film of the Year at the BAFTAS! That's so fucking awesome. And also, I adore their nomination list. *swoons*

OH, LOOK, ANOTHER EDIT!: You know, after watching about ten minutes of this episode, I keep remembering the promo that referred to the suspects as "Bonnie and Clyde". Uh, yeah. More like Starkweather and Fugate, I'd say.

Oh, yes, it's great. If you like zombie movies, you'll ADORE Shaun of the Dead. It's a comedy, but since it's British, it's not so much laugh-out-loud funny as much as wily and sly with the zombie movie references. It's out on DVD, so you should be able to rent it.

Shaun of the Dead kicks ass. Have you ever watched Spaced?
Again - kickass.
Best thing is, the Spaced house is something like a 10 minute walk from our house. Same with the pub 'Winchester' (they used an outside of a pub and the inside was a set, but we go for drinks there anyways).

Shaun of the Dead deserves may not be the best movie on the list, but it deserves to win just to piss off all the people who think only serious movies should win serious awards.

And did you notice that all the directors who are nominated for BAFTA have a first name that begings with M.

Dude, Shaun of the Dead is the outstanding British film of the year! Specifically because... I don't really know how to put this now, but... I suppose I'm saying that not since Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy have I come across anything that sums up Britishness to me as much as Spaced and Shaun of the Dead.
... no, I don't live a particularly weird life, but if I did encounter aliens or zombies we would be in Arthur Dent / Simon Pegg territory.
