Just finished watching the new Monk. No spoilers, but I think I would like the character more if she were played by someone else. The character isn't bad, but Traylor Howard definitely isn't Bitty Shram. I don't know, maybe I can get used to her. The promo for next week looks promising.

*sigh* I wish it would just start snowing already, not because I want it to snow, but because if everybody in this area is going to run around in the streets wailing that the sky is falling and flailing their arms with a rubber chicken stuck to their head, I want to be awake when it starts.

Well, the hubby and I went grocery shopping a few hours ago and people looked pretty darn close to flailing and whatnot, so I think you have a good chance of seeing it if you can hang on another hour or so.

Why oh why do we always wander blithely off to the grocery to do our weekly shopping and *then* realize there's a storm coming? Drives me frigging insane when we're trying to buy our ordinary groceries and people are stocking up like it's the end of the world.

I stocked up on fruits and snacks and Tropicana Twister bottles this morning, so I missed seeing the entire Safeway filled with flailing yahoos. That's like a winter tradition for me. I always find myself especially amused by anybody who decides four hours before the storm that now would be a great time to buy a snowblower.

I think a lot of my problem with her is that I've never seen Traylor Howard in anything, or seen her do anything I like, and it's carrying over. Considering that I do like the character, a few more episodes should be enough to get me over it. :)

Of course, it doesn't help that Sharona was beyond awesome and I miss her and Benjy and WAAAAH.

I was all set to dislike the replacement but then they had to go and ruin it by making me like her. Hrmph. I can still be disgruntled about the theme song though ;)
