Dark Piranha on AICN has already seen the Super Bowl! Warning ... there are spoilers. *snerk*

So anyway, I finally got around to picking up a new DVD stand this morning. It goes to show how long I've been putting it off because when I got all of the DVDs organized and put into the stands, I have room for maybe twenty more DVDs. *eye roll* I also reserved Finding Neverland and The Incredibles, but the new rule is that I'm not allowed to buy any more DVDs until I watch all of the ones I have that I haven't gotten to watch from end to end. Obviously, this could take a while. ;)

Oh, and I picked up the first season of The 4400, because I never got to see it and I really wanted to, and it was about as much as a regular movie on DVD anyway. That's a good thing, though, because it gives me something to motivate myself with this weekend when I'm trying to write. So here's the way it's looking right now for me this weekend: If I get 10k words and/or five chapters finished, I can slack off for the rest of the weekend. If I get it all done on Saturday (hell, I did the same thing on Thanksgiving), then I can slack off on Sunday and I can have some soda and junk food during the Super Bowl. (Which I can't even believe I'm making such a priority this year, but I am just because I want to root for the Eagles -- partly because they're a PA team and partly because they're the underdogs.) Every time I finish a chapter of The Monsters of Minooka, I get to watch an episode of The 4400. *cracks knuckles* Is it tomorrow yet?

I also realized while I was alphabetizing my movies that I've already got a pretty good set-up for my Academy Awards Day movie marathon. I've got Maria Full of Grace, Ray, Collateral, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Spider-Man 2, and Shrek 2, all of which were Oscar-nominated this year. So I won't have to fall back on previously nominated movies this year. :)

EDIT: Ossie Davis found dead in hotel. Aw, man.

God, what a shame. Ossie Davis was awesome as JFK in Bubba Ho-Tep. I know they were talking about doing a sequel with Old Elvis and Old Black JFK battling vampires or something, and now it can never be.

I remember Ossie Davis best for his turn as the cheuffeur in Joe vs. The Volcano.

"It sounds like you're asking me to tell you who you are. I don't know who you are. I don't want to know. I spent my whole life finding out who I am, and I am tired."

Rest in Peace, Ossie.
