Tonight was the first time I caught part of House. I'm not mistaken, right? House and Wilson are married, right? With a white picket fence and a yappy cocker spaniel and some very tacky aluminum siding?
Yep. House criticizes Wilson's ties, Wilson rolls his eyes and makes sure House remembers to shave ever few days. They're on their fourth or fifth cocker spaniel, House tends to whack them with his cane when he's feeling tetchy...
And what sucks is that I'm probably going to have to wait for a box set to come out to see more of it, because it's on at the exact same time that The Amazing Race will be on starting next week, and there's no way in hell I'm giving TAR up, even for all the gay in the world. (Which, considering what I saw last night, is exactly what I think I'm doing.)
In the pilot, Wilson grabs House's phallic object.
In the Christmas episode, he ditches his wife to have Christmas dinner with him.
In one otherwise not terribly fascinating ep, he reads love poetry to him. Loudly. In the middle of the hospital.
He follows him to court and stands behind him during tense moments. There are long looks and interventions and now canceled dates to monster truck rallys. It's really all very... wow.
It's not quite Smallville in terms of intensity, but as serrico pointed out, this last ep may have, "rendered SV obsolete in the category of subtext rapidly becoming...text."
