That test reminded me of how much I hated the grammar/mechanics section of the ACT when I took it in school. Reading comprehension, I can do--mechanics confuse me. Congratulations on having a better grasp on the language than I! :D

Hey, did you have the same problem with the " : / better " one that I did? Because the correct answer is period, begin a new sentence. The expert score went down if I tried a semi-colon, which I knew it shouldn't be but I'm anal retentive. In order to use a colon you need a list of nouns, verbs or clauses. So, the soup was tasty, but: the roasted flamingo was better, the toast was crispier, the grout was grittier and the similes stranger.

Okay, I just made my brain explode. I wish it let you see which ones you got wrong.
