You know, I will be the first person on the planet who will rage against a Poseidon Adventure remake, but according to AICN, Clive Owen is going to play Reverend Scott. Clive Owen as Superpriest? Okay, now I'm curious. (But Gene Hackman could still kick his ass. Oh, yeah. ;))

Oh, and a reminder that Sunday, I'm having another LJ costume party. Somebody who's not me definitely needs to be the bartender this time around. :)

Mmmm, Clive. It's enough to make me go, and I don't even know why they're remaking the stupid movie.

Well, unless they're going to make it closer to the book, have the kid disappear into a hole in the floor and let his sister pine idiotically to have the baby of her rapist after she gets attacked by some moronic cabin boy in a shadowy upside-down hallway, in which case ... no, I still don't like the thought of a remake. But, mmm, Clive.

I'd love to be bartender, but I think it might be a bit difficult seeing as we're in different time zones. what time (and whet time zone) are you holding this party? more importantly, can i dress up as susan sto helit from the discworld novels? (i even have the right dress, how scary is that?)

I'm starting it when I wake up Sunday (which means I should post for it at about 8 or 9 am Eastern), and you can dress up as anyone you want, so long as you only use an icon of the person you're coming as (the closest thing we've got to costumes) and you stay in character at all times. :)

bugger, i'm going to be asleep/at work - that's monday my time. damn you, australia! though i suppose i could make giant bowls of cocktail and leave them hanging around. also i recommend cooper's pale ale - it's the best beer in the woooorld, and one reason why i won't be leaving australia any time soon.

Pardon me for seeming stupid... but what's an LJ costume party?

Instead of coming in costume, you use an icon of the person you're coming as, and you stay in character as them for the entire party, which is really just a post on my LJ. It's basically like a one-day, free-for-all milliways_bar. I tried it a couple of weeks ago on the spur of the moment and we all had a blast. :)

You know, usually I am a very big anti-remake kind of girl. But dammit, I want Poseidon. I want it BAD. That was my favorite disaster movie as a kid, and frankly, I want MORE. And if Clive Owen is going to take Gene Hackman's role??? OH I AM SO THERE EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
