Mar. 29th, 2005 10:07 amI've cracked 5,000 words in the 10.5 summary, and I'm not even halfway finished yet. But I've got ten bucks that says about half of that word count is me snarking. Man, this movie is easy to write about. So much stupid ... it amuses me. ;)
So, yeah. I didn't get back from work yesterday until eleven. Got off at nine, got home at eleven. Why? Because it was too cold and rainy for me not to wait for a ride. And wait, and wait, until both of the early buses had left, which meant that by the time I did catch a bus, it was 10:30. Damn it, summer, if you could get here sooner simply for that reason alone, I'd really appreciate it. And all the dithering I did yesterday about whether or not to skip out on Medium to work on the 10.5 summary didn't even matter in the end, because I missed it anyway. *sigh*
In other news, Michael Schiavo wants his wife autopsied after her death to show the extent of her brain damage. Which, okay, I'd agree with, but the really vehement protestors aren't going to care if they crack her open and maple syrup comes out of her skull. They're just going to say, "Well, she could have learned to do a wicked pancake impression for the rest of her life." ("Aaaaand here's your one-way ticket to Hell, Ma'am.")
EDIT: Okay, so what do those mean, exactly?

GYAH OF EDIT: ACK. Suddenly, Jennifer doesn't seem like such a lame name anymore.

Date: 2005-03-29 05:08 pm (UTC)Now, chances are that everyone who's rated you has given you a star, so it's probably roughly accurate that you're getting ratings of 3of5 for trustworthy/nice, 3of5 for hot, and 4.5of5 for cool.
Some of us aren't quite such stars, and are then led to believe that we're getting 7 out of a possible 5 as nice. Which isn't just statistically silly, but highly improbable. {g}

Date: 2005-03-29 05:36 pm (UTC)And regarding Terry Schiavo- Slate has 3 interesting perspectives on the case. One from a libertarian economist, one from Christopher Hitchens, and one regarding the difference between what people do in theory and what they do in real life. Just thought you might want to read them.
