Apr. 11th, 2005 11:24 pmSo I just got back from work because the Glorified Optimist is some sort of spastic loon who just kept shoving at work at me and the newbie (who still needs a nickname, alas, but I'll come up with something) and saying, "Oh, you have to finish this before you go." And walking out wasn't even an option, because it just would have meant things would be twice as bad tomorrow. Urgh.
Aaaaaand somewhere between the crap he was throwing at us, the constantly ringing phones, the crowd of customers at the front counter and the steady stream of email messages that had to be answered at a certain time (which was usually five minutes ago), neither I nor the newbie came out of the night with our sanities or tempers intact. Also, the Glorified Optimist had a habit of waiting until I was helping at the counter before saying, "Don't forget the phones," or waiting until I was trying to finish the email messages before saying, "Don't forget the counter." This is the part in a really bad comedy where I would have turned around and said something moronic like, "Don't forgot my foot up your ass."
So off to bed with me. Then up early with me, then I'm going to get that last bit of 10.5 done and write up the defense of Shannon if it kills me. *yawns*

My next was, "...really, the first thing you thought of was "how can I use it in a sentence"? And you wonder why your social skills are not good..."
