You know, after complaining about the lack of it yesterday, now I feel the urge to read apocalyptic fic tonight. Anybody got any good fanfic recs about the end of the world? The fandom doesn't matter. :)
http://www.angelfire.com/ri/shadowsbase/fanfic1.html --- read the Infinity series on that page, at the bottom of the page. It is DAMN good. Infinity's Arrival, Reach, Descent, Test and Conflict.
Got some classic oldies but goodies from Buffy/Angel fandom. (Though some of my favorites aren't around any more! *cries*)
Happy Ever After by Rheanna - Angel, Wes, Cordy. The centre has not held.
Our House by Puca Dentata - The Hellmouth has opened, and a small band of survivors are escaping Sunnydale... but to what?
The Last Summer by Annie Sewell-Jennings - A kind of "On the Beach" with Spike and Buffy.
Can't find Kyuuketsuki Ouji's "Chemical Burn," which was seriously fucked up and amazing, but perhaps someone on your ginormous reading list might have it stashed away.
Until the end of the world. Connor and Faith, after the apocalypse. I'm not happy with the ending, but otherwise it's one of the best things I've ever written.
And fairly short. I only broke it into chapters for the little summaries at the start of each.
