I really need to stop reading the TWoP forums for TAR out of desperation for someone to talk with the episodes about. (Not that I actually talk about the new episode, but whatever.) First, it was conspiracies about Rob and Amber getting help, now somebody tossed out a theory that Gretchen got help climbing the rock wall at the castle. What the hell? Was somebody supposed to have lugged her up by her safety line? Please. The woman can be whiny and slow, but she gets the job done eventually. (And for the record, that's a big "eventually".) Sheesh. Accusing the producers of helping the teams would be the first sign I was about to stop watching, and considering the amount of fucking up that's gone on lately with these teams, the producers don't need to help them out. They do fine shaking up the status quo all on their own.

Bah. I need a drink. And to do some freaking exercise. And to watch a few Firefly episodes and add more to the Pairing List before work.

Oh! Did I mention the good news? *heavy sarcasm* Lieutenant Asshat's not going to another station, after all. Bossman 2.0 convinced Lumbergh to keep him, then told the Glorious Optimist to tell me that the audits he'd told me to do that were turning out to be basically a waste of my time since nothing ever came out of them ... yeah, I HAVE to do them. Those audits take up a full quarter of my eight-hour shift. And they wonder why I've been skipping out on doing them and am behind on everything else when I DO do them. *seethes*

EDIT: ARGH. How the hell did Madonna get on my MP3 player? I hate Madonna. I have to restrain myself from rolling my eyes whenever my cousins squeal about going to Madonna concerts, for crying out loud. (They once drove to Michigan fom Long Island to see her in concert. Uh, NO. Blech.) *sighs, deletes from Zen*

Gretchen and Meredith flub everything so badly, it's a miracle they're still in the race, and in second place last night! Plus, Gretchen's voice is so incredibly grating. And yet, I love them. Yay for climbing the rock wall, Gretchen! (I didn't even know until yesterday when I was reading the Wikipedia entry for the season that Meredith broke three bones in his foot during the last leg and didn't get it x-rayed because he didn't want to leave the race, so Gretchen pretty much had no choice. Yay, Gretchen and Meredith! *flails*)

And Uchenna and Joyce are so awesome. "Where's my princess?" last night just made me swoon. And she does look amazing bald. I can't remember who it was I read who compared her beauty to an Egyptian goddess, but OMGYESYESYES.

Then again, she can't be that bad all that time, especially since she's got a severe case of Killer Fatigue. And I don't remember her voice being that grating to start off with.

I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, because at this point, everybody's pretty much in a bad mood. Hell, I'm amazed Uchenna and Joyce haven't really snapped at one another yet. (Although that shot from the previews just made me say, "No, Joyce, don't yell at your sweet, sweet husband!")
