Another time-waster, because I'm bored out of my goodamn mind, stuck at work, and wishing I could go home --

What would you do and who would you be if you were a part of the world(s) or your favorite fandom(s)? Not as if you were another made-up person, but as if it were you specifically, with all of the same faults and skills, living with and interacting with the characters from those worlds.

EDIT: And you don't get to know anything extra, not what'll happen in the future or any family secrets you're not supposed to know. You just know the same sort of crap you'd know with your best friends in the real world.

Buffy: I'd have hit on Xander in his yearbook back in sophomore year. He wouldn't have noticed.

Firefly: I'm at college on a Core world and never, ever meet any of the characters. TOTALLY AWESOME.

Lost: I've only seen the first episode, but I'm the guy who sat calmly through the entire crash thinking "Well, panicking will hardly help," then totally flips out as soon as we hit the beach. Later, I screw up first aid in some minor way.

X-Men: If I have a power, it's something not particularly powerful but without any direct bad side, like the ability to understand all languages or go for months without food or water. I spend my time alternating between being glad I'm not in any direct danger and don't have operatic adventures and being really, really jealous of the people who do.

Star Trek: I wasn't ambitious enough to get into Starfleet Academy, so I major in art some other school. I'll join the Space Peace Corps and help rebuild Cardassia or some hippie crap like that, then spend some time bumming around the Alpha Quadrant.

Star Wars: I live in FEAR. One day, I suffer random brutality and die.
