I know! Every finale is like crack, even the crappy ones. And it helped for that last half hour that if Uchenna and Joyce didn't win, I wanted Rob and Amber to win.

I watched the last thirty minutes or so, and I was bouncing up and down in my seat even though I've never watched before. >D

Uchenna and Joyce taking the time to pay back the cab driver was awesome. >D I swear to god it gave me grey hairs, since I was cheering for them, but it was awesome.

It wasn't so much "taking the time" as it was the driver wouldn't let them go without doing so. They were sweating bullets over losing because of that.

I don't know. Joyce at one point suggested they just run through the gate and leave the guy, which I think they could have done, but Uchenna said "no, we gotta make sure this man is covered".

I wanted to pet him so badly. >D Any man who will risk a million dollars to make sure he pays his cabbie what he owes deserves petting at the very least! (And the million dollars, of course, so he can pay all his cabbies in the future.)

It's good that he paid the driver, though, because his finding them the cigar shop was probably the defining stroke of luck that put them ahead of Rob and Amber at the finish line. They OWED that guy. >D

I think running out on the cab fare would be breaking the rules since it'd be breaking the law, otherwise you'd see that sort of behaviour more often.

If they decided to just go through the gate, I can easily see them getting nailed with a 30+ minute penalty at the mat and losing because of it.

So paying the cabbie was good but honestly, they pretty much had to.

It just goes to show that it doesn't matter where you finish in the previous legs, as long as you're not eliminated. It's only this one that counts.

The one time R/A could have used a guide, and it seems J/U were the ones who lucked out with a driver who knew the area.

I don't think I've been this happy to have a team win since Chip and Kim back in Season 5.

They just kept going, and it was just wonderful. I loved that shot of whoever it was (Alex maybe?) at the finish line, saying under his breath, "Uchenna and Joyce. Uchenna and Joyce." Exactly what I was doing.

I was pretty sure they were going to win based on spoilers, but really started getting scared watching it.

You know I loved watching Rob & Amber, but it was really satisfying to see that good guys do sometimes finish first. They so deserved it.
