While I'm on a roll with old memes that I love ...

1) Go to http://www.yousendit.com and put in pigwidgeon_the_unholy@yahoo.com.
2) Send me a song or two that you think I must hear.
3) My musical tastes: Anything catchy, bouncy, pretty, or good for dancing to, and any kind of Nordic, Punjabi, African, or Indian music. (You know, stuff with drum beats and chanting singing. ;))

And if you guys want later on, I'll make a music post, since I haven't in a while. :)

I just sent you two songs:

"Fill Her Up" by Gene -- a song I discovered while listening to The Succubus Club (though I'm not sure why they were playing it, since AFAIK it was never on BtVS or AtS) and liked well enough I ordered the CD from the UK.

"Rasputin" by Boney M -- this song gets played at SF&F convention dances all over the Pacific Northwest and is a blast to dance to. It's got a great beat, a catchy tune, and fun and funky lyrics.

Hmmm... Speaking of catchy tunes, I'm rather tempted to send along a copy of "Run Run Away" by either Slade or the cover that was done by Great Big Sea.

Dead Can Dance - Arabian Gothic (actually a live version of Lisa Gerrard's solo song Swans, I think) and Dead Can Dance - Saltarello (practically impossible to listen to and NOT dance, if just in your seat.)

Hey - here are three songs for you - all by Idina Menzel (she was Elphaba in the OBC of Wicked).

http://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=13LV0E57BX7HD33I884Y5A8IVZ - All of the Above - this is a very, very dirty song about sexual fetishes - but its hysterical

http://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=03ZXU8TC6F8N63CYMPNP3YA2EF - Planet Z - upbeat, fun song

http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=31CIY66OY6AKK38MTFY534AZE9 - Minuet - great beat and even better lyrics

No patience for yousendit ATM, but here's a link to something cool. It's just... awesome. If you read Warren Ellis's blog he posted the link awhile back. You can totally hear the roots of western music in this Indonesian chant, and that = awesome. There's all kinds of awesome stuff on the site, so take a look around.

For your edification, a Kenyan exorcism. Bounciest thing I could find that wasn't Beatles or a musical.
