I called my mom yesterday to ask her about when I'm coming up to visit this summer, and she started talking about her new convertible Mini-Cooper. My mother is horribly overprotective of her vehicles (think Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off -- my driving any of them is NEVER an option), so we ended up having the following conversation:

Me: Can I look at it?
My mother: (magnanimously) Yes, you can look at it.
Me: Can I touch it?
My mother: You can ... probably touch it.
Me: Can I sit in it?
My mother: ... maybe.
Me: Do I have to disinfect myself first?
My mother: No, of course not!
Me: ...
My mother: But, you know, you should shower first. And wash your hands. And put on deodorant. And shampoo.
Me: ...
My mother: Maybe some perfume.

I'll have to save up to buy a fancy dress and get a nice haircut so I can go visit the car. :)
