apocalypsosMom and I were just talking about my grandparents visiting last weekend on the phone (and for the sake of explanation for this story, my grandfather is not my dad's biological father), and somehow stumbled onto spelling mistakes she made in her last email to me. Aaaaaand that's how we got to this conversation:
Mom: "I mean, look at 'pizza'. That's not spelled the way it sounds. Why is that?"
Me: "I don't know. Ask the Italians. You're related to one."
Mom: "Not really."
Me: "Mom, Grandpa's Italian."
Mom: "... okay, so only by injection."
EWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Okay, Mom, YOU LOSE. *goes off to remove the brain cells that remember that with a spork*
