Okay, so. Here's how it's looking.

I'm moving back to PA. From what I see, there are three things I need to go back to PA:

1. A car.
2. A job.
3. An apartment.

The apartment comes in a distant third. I can live with my parents or any number of relatives, but I obviously need a job and to even get a decent job anywhere in NEPA, I'll need a car.

The Car

So, I only have about two hundred and fifty bucks in my checking account. (Yay for monster bills that suck away all of my money!) After next week's paycheck, I should have enough to go to a police auction and get a car. Granted, it won't be the nicest car on the planet, but beggars can't be choosers. Of course, the problem comes when I have to go get insurance, registration, etc. Ah, the things I didn't miss most about car ownership.

What would be the smart thing to do would be to give my parents the money and let my dad see about getting me a car at an auction back in PA so I don't have to worry about getting everything before I get up there, but I may have to talk him into it.

I wish I was getting into this with slightly more money to work with, but I should be able to pull it off, God willing.

The Job

My first thought right now is that I may try and get the only open job position at the Scranton DHL, which is unfortunately as a supervisor. For the record, I would suck as a supervisor. And they probably won't hire me anyway. So it's a pretty safe bet I'm going to have to go with the fun of a full-time job and a part-time job. (And if I really do want an apartment of my own, then I may even have to go back to donating plasma again. And oh, what fun that will be.) Besides, it'll be easy enough to just go to a temp place and have them set me up.

The Apartment

The apartment is not as much of a problem. My parents know enough people who can get me into a good apartment by myself so that I shouldn't have to worry. Besides, my mom's already said they'd help out, and my family's always good for some old used furniture. Honestly, if I say I'm moving up there, at least some of them will suddenly decide to replace a couch or a dining room table or something and have to get rid of a bunch of stuff. As for outfitting it with other stuff, my birthday's coming up in September, so I could always ask for gift certificates for Pier One and Walmart and Target. That part, I'm not so worried about.

So, yeah. The move back home has now slowly but surely commenced. So maybe I can stop fretting over the damn thing, calm down, and get back to finishing the monster ficathon entry of doooooooooom already. (I was so spazzy before I left the apartment, I forgot to send myself the right story file to work on today. As if I needed to slam my head against the nearest desk some more. *eye roll*) I'm better now, though. Not so antsy. I just need to find out a good timetable for getting back and I'm golden. :)

Also, in the middle of my mom's phone conversation with me, she mentioned that she's getting a new kitten. And the breeder sent her a photo. *dies of cute* Not sure which one she's getting, but AWWWW.

Oh, and I've got another round of What Did Bryan Do This Time? for you guys to play. You'll be amused. ;)
