Date: 2005-07-19 09:29 am (UTC)1. Bye Bye Blemish drying lotion. It's the only thing that gets rid of my zits.
2. ProVitamin E Instant Repair hair serum. Keeps my hair from frizzing out too badly.
3. Cinnamon toothpaste. Mmmm.
4. St. Ives face masks. I love 'em, but I haven't used them in a while because I can't afford to buy them considering how much I use them.
5. Garnier Nutrisse shampoos and conditioners. Those work really well on my hair.

1. You're the bride.
2. You're at a Chinese funeral.
3. You're playing Frosty the Snowman at a Christmas pageant.
4. You're Casper the Friendly Ghost for Halloween.
5. The mental institution doesn't give out straitjackets in any other colors.

Date: 2005-07-19 09:44 am (UTC)2. A home theater. Not like a big TV and speakers and stuff, but an actual theater in my home, with the stadium seats and the popcorn and the huge screen.
3. A hell of a lot of plane tickets and hotel rooms. I want to travel like crazy, and I can't afford to go anywhere.
4. A car. A brand new car. Something that comes with the new car smell and a dinky odometer reading, for once. Any kind of car -- I'm not picky.
5. Uh ... can you buy a lifetime of not having to go to work and just getting to write all the time? 'Cause if so, that's my number five. If not, a pony, because I'm five.

2. I've never had to see him naked.
3. His mom reminds me of my grandmother.
4. He hasn't outlawed fun yet.
5. He hasn't had a bicycle or pretzel accident serious enough to die and leave us with Cheney as president.

3. Rick Santorum. Then again, refer back to that "being a Bush" as a social disease thing and that definitely counts for Santorum. (I'm moving back to PA! I can help vote him out of office next term! Woohoo!)
4. Any member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Well, okay, maybe not Ron White, but Larry the Cable Guy first and foremost.
5. Fred Phelps. In fact, he can catch any and every disease on the planet.

Date: 2005-07-19 01:52 pm (UTC)1. The point in the middle of Order of the Phoenix when I realized I just wasn't into Harry Potter anymore.
2. The moment in high school when I finished a really awful romance novel set on the Titanic, literally threw it against a wall, and said, "I can write better than this!" And that's when I started writing.
3. The moment in college when I met the cute British guy I developed an immediate crush on. The poor bastard has ended up in every original story I've written since then in some way or another and he doesn't even know it.
4. The rather slow realization I reached when I was a kid going to catechism and it started to hit me how damn hypocritical Catholicism could be sometimes. (Well, okay, the actual Catholics, not the religion itself.)
5. The moment after I flunked out of college when I pretty much broke down and realized I wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

2) Top five graphic novels/trade paperback compilations.
3) Top five memorable places from your childhood.

5) Top five cinema experiences! (you know...when a movie was more than just a movie.)

Date: 2005-07-19 02:07 pm (UTC)Okay, considering I haven't read comics in years (damn it), and I can't really answer number 2 because I've never really read any graphic novels, for number 1, I'll just pick the first appearances of the X-Men, Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, and the Fantastic Four. Yes, it's probably a boring way to go, but it's the morning and even when I'm fully awake, I have a hard time remembering specific issues.
But I can answer the other three. :)
Five memorable places:
1. My grandfather's garden. He's always had an awesome garden.
2. The opening in the woods behind the school playground. Nobody bothered me and my friends back there.
3. The gap in the woods off to the side of the playground by my grandma's house. Same reason as #2.
4. My aunt's house in Jersey, which used to be my grandmother's house. It was huge and a blast to play in.
5. My uncle's pool. He threw the best pool parties.
Five items I'd grab if I were leaving, never to return:
1. My computer, obviously.
2. My portable DVD player. (And at least a DVD or two.)
3. One of my many, unused notebooks.
4. My curling iron.
5. My black suede duster.
Five cinema experiences:
1. Life is Beautiful. I burst into tears afterwards like you wouldn't believe.
2. X2. Saw it twice in a row in the same theater on purpose. :)
3. Titanic, the first time I saw it. I apologize for seeing it by pointing at the fact that I would travel back to see Titanic in a heartbeat.
4. Return of the King. It was the middle of December, nine o'clock in the morning, and I'm standing outside the theater with all of the other early risers with my down coat off and my sleeve rolled up in twenty degree temps showing off my One Ring tattoo. :)
5. Finding Nemo, the first time I saw it, because there was honestly the most adorable toddler EVER sitting next to me watching it. She spent the entire movie clutching a Nemo and a Dory doll and staring at the screen with the most gorgeous look of absolute wonder I think I've ever seen in a movie theater.

Date: 2005-07-19 02:11 pm (UTC)1. Battlefield Earth. I still insist this is the funniest comedy of the last twenty years if you're drunk enough.
2. Titanic. I still love that movie, even with all of the cheesiness of it.
3. The Day After Tomorrow. It's so dumb. I love it so. :)
4. Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. Three words: Neil Patrick Harris.
5. Underworld. It's ridiculously stupid, and yet I can't stop watching it.

Date: 2005-07-19 02:12 pm (UTC)2 top five peiople you would place in disasters
3 top five movies EVER and what moods they put you in
4 top five random quotes
5 top five days in your life
*snerk* You people are just trying to keep me busy, aren't you?
Date: 2005-07-19 02:30 pm (UTC)1. The sinking of the Titanic
2. September 11th in New York City.
3. The Hartford circus fire
4. Pearl Harbor (which, okay, might not count as a disaster, but I would really want to witness that)
5. The Jonestown flood.
Five people I'd place in disasters:
1. Well, me, but mostly out of abject curiosity and as long as I'd survive.
2. George Bush
3. Rick Santorum
4. Fred Phelps
5. Pat Buchanan
My top five movies ever:
1. The Princess Bride. Makes me all giggly and swoony.
2. The Color Purple. I usually cry happy tears from the time Shug leads the procession to church onward. So, you know, for about forty-five minutes straight.
3. The Shawshank Redemption. I feel all perky and grateful after that.
4. Jaws. Scares the crap out of me.
5. Titanic. It makes me all nostalgic. Oh, the people I would throttle for a ride on that ship.
Five random quotes:
1. "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." The Princess Bride
2. "Everybody into the miniaturizer!" Innerspace
3. "Lesbian Nazi Hookers Abducted by UFOs and Forced Into Weight Loss Programs -- all next week on Town Talk." UHF
4. "I think we've all arrived at a very special place. Spiritually, ecumenically, grammatically." Pirates of the Caribbean
5. "I'm not even supposed to BE here today!" Clerks
Top five days in my life:
1. The day I moved out of my parents' house.
2. The day I left for college.
3. The day I met the cute blond British guy I had a crush on.
4. The day I graduated high school.
5. When my parents took me to see Queen in concert. (And I'll continue to count that as one of the best days of my life regardless of the fact that I was only one year old.)

Date: 2005-07-20 01:44 pm (UTC)Five cinema experiences:
1. Being the best? X2 hands fecking down. The sheer out of control fangirl bliss I was transported to, the rollicking crowd in Yonkers. Did I ever tell you when Collossus changed into metal some woman stood up, snapped her fingers in a circle and said "SHIT, SON!". I probably did. So awesome.
2. Trilogy Tuesday, Lord of the Rings. Just...a timeless sort of reverie, just watching and being enveloped in it. Too bad the LIGHTS DIDN'T TURN OFF FOR THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES OF ROTK. But wow can you catch things when you watch it this way. Amazing.
3. I, Robot. This was one of the first movies me and my sister alone went and saw and we were high on life for hours afterwards, getting fast food and driving around cause we didn't want to go home and we suddenly, just like that, had a reason for having no reason to hang out with each other. *sniff* Sonny ROCKS!
4. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets namely cause for some reason, everyone I knew wanted to go and then the theater was packed with fangirls, everyone was blissed and sexed out of their MINDS and I met the God of Sex Jason Isaacs for real for real.
5. Okay, I have two Christopher Nolan movies here so both are getting put in Batman Begins cause I literally felt my heart give at some moments, feeling heated like I normally only do with theater and Insomnia because it's one of the only times EVER I have shushed someone and it was two adults on a date. Giggling. What the hell.
Your top five favorite movies that are so bad you just had to love them
1. The Fast and the Furious. Because come on. Vin Diesel with cars and Paul Walker with cheekbones and everyone is so hot and gritty and the soundtrack is so good and the racing and the--it's brilliant. Hands down.
2. Femme Fatale. Brian DiPalma is a MISUNDERSTOOD GENIUS, MMKAY?! Alright so I needed to see Rebecca Romijn naked. Sue me.
3. Virtuosity. I dunno if many people saw this but it has Denzel Washington with OMG ONE ARM and Russell Crowe as a, guffaw, hehhe, snort, cyber-serial-killer. No really. No, really. It's so cool, it defies the very word.
4. Evolution. I am very well aware the science is so stupid Bush would believe it, but I don't care. It has some of the damn funniest duo bits between David Duchovny and Orlando Jones that I will never give up. "Iraaaaaaaa"
5. Basic Instinct. You just gotta, with that movie.
Aaaand! top 5 Jossverse moments:
1. "Wash! Wash! I want you to listen to me. When we get back...the first thing I'm going to do...I'm going to take your wife into my bed. ::laughs:: I'm gonna get me a piece of that--" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
2. When Angel is evil. Just all of that. That is so...from him "spilling his guts" to Joyce, to Jenny, to the heart-ripping 50s themed episode? So harsh. So good.
3. Xander's speech to Willow on the cliff, about the yellow crayon. It's trite dialogue, horrible even, but the characters and the anguish and the acting are so superb that when Willow falls into his arms and weeps, you do too. God, and the ocean is so beautiful there, as her hair bleeds back to red, you almost never see it on Buffy for all it's Californianess...
4. Simon and River's huckleberries scene. When he kneels at her feet and she feeds him? Fo' real. Fo'. Real. "You gave up everything you had..." "Mei-mei, everything I have...is right here."
5. Oz cheating on Willow. That did this funny thing where it ripped out my heart and twisted my ovaries at the same time. Urk. Seth Green is a minx, I tell you, a minx.
Oh and whenever Giles sang. Or made out with anyone. Yeah.
