yes, but the question is, which empire records DVD? the original one, or the new extended edition?

i have both. :)

Only the new extended one. I need to win the lottery just so I can shop for DVDs. :)

The new extended one has the Say No More video, which really is reason enough to get it. :D

And the whole GWAR thing with Mark.

bragging? ;P *vows to catch up*
do you count box-sets as one? whole series? sequels-in-same-pack?

Yeah, I've been counting box sets as just one. Although, if I count them by movies and add the number of DVDs in my TV series sets, that adds about 35 more DVDs. And that's without counting the bonus discs in the 2-disc special editions. *snerk* I'm such a nerd.

not at all! *adjusts imaginary glasses* these things are important and keep me awake nights, just like in the old days when lp's often had bonus singles attached - how to count them, that's the question *nods* i think that while you cannot count special editions as 2 (or four *eyes lotr*) films, you need to count series sets ... hm, but what about tv-series ...

I think I've been counting the box sets as one regardless because it makes it easier for me to figure out when I have to buy an extra DVD stand. Like, say, now. I'm so running out of room, it isn't even funny. Each of the stands I have hold 108 DVDs, and I like 'em to match, so I'm going to have to get another one soon.

Hee. I treat my DVDs nicer than I do with the rest of my room. It's a pigsty, but that corner is pristine. And right above it, my pretty, pretty poster of Aragorn on his horse from ROTK.

you need to post of pic of that as well - as box-sets are thicker than single dvds, you should have to count them as 2-4 though, if i am not mistaken?

I can usually estimate from the count if I add another ten or so to the total. Right now, I took a rough guess from the spaces in the stands, and I could fit another 24 DVDs or so in them.

I just did a count: 370. But I don't think its up to date. I just got two more this week.

Impressive. I've slowed down a lot too. I just bought 4 a few days ago, and that's the most I've bought in as many months. I think I get maybe 1 or 2 a month on average.

yeah, I just did a count of mine. About 230, But I think it could be +60 or so since I counted a lot of tv series and anime as 1 and there are a lot that I have loaned out to people or misplaced
