The 4400 is about a bunch of people who went missing over the years and suddenly return in a ball of light looking no older than the day they vanished, and some of them return with weird powers. It's awesome, and the first season is only a few episodes, so it's technically a miniseries.

But I will definitely bring Firefly. Now, that, you have to watch. :)
