Aug. 14th, 2005 12:19 pmAm having a late breakfast of hard-boiled eggs, which may be the healthiest thing I've eaten in a week and a half. (Yesterday, a smokehouse burger and some corn chips. The day before that, Chinese food and Cheetoes. The day before that, MacDonald's. Oh, yeah, I could definitely stand to eat healthier ... and, uh, maybe eating more would be a good idea, too. Hmm. It's bad when the Chinese place knows who you are, what you're ordering, and where they're delivering to just from you giving your phone number, right?)
Am also watching Dogma while I edit Monsters. Wheeeee! Haven't watched this in a while. :)

(The place that I order from is a little tiny corner place, family-run, though recently they've hired an extra cook. Well, if "recently" is "sometime about two years ago". The son does the delivery, mom & dad cook.)

Date: 2005-08-14 05:08 pm (UTC)It was actually an amusing moment when I called in an order for delivery one time (I didn't want to leave the apartment and roommates were sick or something) and the kid shows up on the doorstep expecting an unfamiliar face, and he's all "Oh, it's you!"

Date: 2005-08-14 05:44 pm (UTC)The burger sounds good. Healthy is what you make it. Or something. ;) But then again, I'm the woman who bought Ben & Jerry's for lunch one day instead of Stouffer's meals or Lean Cuisines, because the ice cream at least had ingredients that had an origin in nature. Better 600 calories from milk and cream than 250 from polysorbate OMGWTF anyday. Of course that logic also gets you chubby. *g*

'Sad' is when the Subway shop has your sandwich ready and waiting at the register, because they noticed you waiting to make a left into the parking lot. Of course, it does save me waiting in line. *g*
