I'm boosting this from [livejournal.com profile] marag, who boosted it from [livejournal.com profile] cereta, because it's just a damn fine idea. :)

I, Jennifer (Insert Last Name Here), am a fangirl.

I will turn 28 years old in one month, have a full-time job, and I am a fangirl.

I bought two tickets for X2 the day it came out, one for the very first showing and one for the showing immediately following it in the same theater so I wouldn't have to leave my seat. Except I did, to go out in the lobby with the other people waiting for the theater to be cleaned, so I could tell everybody how awesome it was.

I went to my first convention for Highlander: The Series, got my picture taken with Stan Kirsch, rode in an elevator with Jim Byrnes, and practically floated out of the hotel at the end of the weekend.

I have the inscription from the One Ring tattooed on my arm and own two LOTR posters.

I can remember every scene from Buffy the Vampire Slayer that made me cry when I first saw them.

I have to watch all three Terminator movies in a row -- never just one at a time -- and can get into a heated debate over the time-travel science in the movies until I'm blue in the face.

I will continue to mourn the cancellations of Jake 2.0, Dead Like Me, and Firefly.

I consider it an honor to take after my father, who obsesses over Thunderbirds, has seen every episode of Jonny Quest, and counts as one of his prized possessions the Monroes lunchbox and Johnny Seven gun my mom and I got him off eBay.

I own the first season of The Greatest American Hero and am bitterly disappointed I can't afford to get the other two seasons yet. And don't even get me started on what I'd do for Misfits of Science, My Secret Identity, and the '90s version of The Tomorrow People on DVD.

My fondest high school memories include arguing with my friends at lunchtime on Monday about which show had been better the night before, Seaquest or Lois and Clark.

I get excited every time I read a new and different crossover.

I love fanfic, and can't get enough of either writing or reading it.

I just can't stop smiling when my favorite characters hook up.

I can easily be put in a bad mood for an entire day by a badly-written episode.

I actually have been known to flail like Kermit in real life.

I'm a fangirl and I'm damn proud. :)

You realize, of course, that my father could do this meme and his list would be twice as long. Oh, yeah, Daddy was a fanboy, all right. ;)

::cheers for you and Kermit::

We're fangirls and we're proud!

(I feel like we need one of those chants, like "We're here, we're fangirls, get used to it!")

What convention? I wouldn't be surprised if we've met...
