AICN has a set report from the Poseidon Adventure remake, which now has another notch in the win column in the "Which is a better Poseidon Adventure remake?" game. Not only does this movie have Kurt Russell, but it also has a character named Jennifer. It's a remake of my favorite movie, except this time they put me in it and made me look like Emmy Rossum! *flails* Shut up and let me dream, damn it. ;P

Then again, the other Poseidon Adventure remake from Hallmark has in its win column that it's closer to the book, it has Jayne Cobb on a flipped-over boat saving people AND shooting terrorists Adam Baldwin and Steve Guttenberg, and it's airing November 20th instead of ending up in theaters next year.

Did I mention I'm letting myself buy this this weekend?

I need help. And maybe to watch it again when I go home. Sheesh.

EDIT: And in today's "Yeah, no shit, genius" news, a survey says poor movies are to blame for the crappy box office. Did you notice how they keep analyzing it like they can't quite believe moviegoers think this year has been one great cinematic lemonfest?

My short list for this year?

Sky High (fun kid's movie)

Serenity

Yeah, that'd be it.

Oh, yes, Shy High also. And I'd include Serenity, but I'm one of the unlucky few who has yet to see it. (Although I have spoiled myself rotten for the thing, but I'll take what I can get until I can get the real thing. ;))

I want to see SKY HIGH, but only because I have potentially inappropriate thoughts about Michael Angarano. Someone please, please tell me he's older than he looks and is actually 26.

Is that the boy who played Warren Peace? Yeah, he's a cutie patootie. ::grin::

Not sure who warren pearce is, but he did play Jack's son on WILL & GRACE. I hasten to add that I did not have inappropriate thoughts about him then.

Really, I promise.

Nope, he's the one who played Will Stronghold. I mostly wanted to rumple his hair. :)

He looked entirely too young for me to notice him as anything but a kid. Now Warren Peace, on the other hand... ;)

Unfortunately, I don't think he is. But hey, the guy who plays Warren Peace is legal AND yummy. :)

(And it is a great movie, legal main actor or not. ;))

Listen, if he's that cute and his (character) name is Willy Stronghold, I might just have to be willing to do the time...:)
I hasten to add at this point that the film also seems from the trailer to be a fine piece of family entertainment, so will just go see it for purely artistic reasons.
Your Honor.

Oh, the movie itself is adorable. It's great fun in general, but it's got really cool in-jokes and references if you're a comic book or superhero junkie.
