More news of New Orleans on TV. There's just so much about this whole situation that's just not right -- the reports of anarchy, the crimes going on in the Superdome, the government's reactions. It's so painful to watch. Now that I have my paycheck, I might actually be able to donate, thank God. I know I haven't said much about it so far, it's just hard to say the words sometimes, you know?

In other news, resume and cover letter have been sent off to the factory. Thanks for the help with the cover letter, guys. *cuddles you all*

Today I've had a McChicken sandwich, a peanut butter sandwich, and ... uh, a stick of gum. Tomorrow, I should probably try that whole "meal" thing I've been hearing about.

So this weekend it's a field trip to the Spy Museum, another attempt to finish the Monsters edit, and a start on a recap for The Day After for plan_9_from_lj (which I've had snarky punchlines in my head for all day). And maybe packing my DVDs, if I can stop myself from thinking, "But I might want to watch all of them in the next few weeks." Which reminds me ... because I'm indecisive:

If you're going to force yourself to write most of a book in a month, it should at least be something that you could conceivably get published. That means original, not fanfiction.

Well, I've been trying to decide whether to write Dead End or Vampires of Vandling for NaNoWriMo mostly because I want to start working on one of them already and I was trying to figure out which one to save until later. :)
