Seriously, I'm curious.
I could have sworn that occasionally, something good gets to happen to everyone. It's against the odds for anybody's life to be this fucked-up ALL the time.
Not that it's bad as some, but still. Even kids who get their legs blown off with land mines get to have good shit like parties and presents and visits from famous people eventually.

Date: 2003-09-15 01:21 pm (UTC)One of my co-worker's husband was fired unexpectedly on a Friday. He was torn up and miserable. They had no reason to fire him they were just trying to downsize. They gave him no notice.
Monday morning a friend of a friend called him and offered him a better job with better pay. Which would not have happened if he hadn't gotten fired from the first one.
I know this doesn't always happen...but it happens quite often - even though sometimes it takes a long time to happen.
