Today, I'm just going to do what I should have done days ago and go to Adecco, since they were the ones who got me the DHL job in Virginia and kept me working constantly at temp jobs for two weeks until they got me that one. And hell, for all of its faults, that job did pay really well. (For the record, that DHL "Whatever happened to customer service" commercial will never, EVER stop being funny, but for all the wrong reasons. I can't really take a commercial like that seriously -- particularly the version where the driver smiles, takes the package, and says, "I'm on it" -- when personal experience tells you that "I'm on it" is probably a thinly veiled way of telling the customer that later on, he plans to run over the box twice over with his van. And maybe jump up and down on it whooping loudly for good measure.)
I'm also going to check out the call center near the movie theater that's hiring for people to answer the phones part-time for customers ordering catalog stuff. Hell, I could use a part-time job on the weekends, at the very least to put money towards a better car. It'll cut into my NaNoWriMo time if I do it, because my big trick is pounding out big chunks of words on the weekends, but the money's more important anyway at this point.
And ... er, if I should, you know, make a wrong turn and end up at the movie theater, and if I should spend five or six bucks or whatever the matinee price is to see Serenity ... well, I can, because yesterday I got voice mail and ten bucks from my aunt and uncle. :)
