You know what's going to drive me nuts even quicker than simply signing up for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100?

It's that I hate writing drabbles. I mean, if I have a choice between writing something long and writing someting short, I'll write something long. So I have a terrible urge to up the minimum word limit on my own stories to 1000 words. After all, there's no deadline, so I've got plenty of time.

A thousand words a story, a hundred stories. Just watch as I become the major supplier of Terminator fanfic on the Internet. *snerk*

Hmm. I may need to learn more about guns. And explosives. And radiation sickness.

EDIT: I woke up this morning to a thousand people running past my window preceded by a marching band and police cars, and it took me five completely confused minutes to remember that the Steamtown Marathon starts at the local high school today.

Well, the internet *does* need more fanfic about Sarah. Yes, it really, really does. (She's hot! And dangerous! And just a little bit crazy!)

Seriously! Why am I the only one writing Sarah Connor fanfic? It's so wrong! (Okay, so maybe I'm not the only one writing Terminator fanfic, but I could count the number of decent Terminator writers I've seen on one hand.)

Hah after writing a 500 word drabble I sort of know your pain. Without a plot, my writing turns to crap.

With drabbles, I feel like I'm cheating, like I'm supposed to be writing more but I'm just scraping by with the bare minimum. Which isn't right, because one hundred words is perfectly acceptable, but really, my brain won't hear it. :)

I know, lol. I think my problem with drabbles are I can't get a plot in 500 words, so it doesn't even feel like a story.

Though, I was definitely having a grand time creating 50 word short short stories that did have plot, so I know I *can* do it XD

Now that I've seen Serenity, I understand how you're playing Jayne a lot more. Nice job!

Oh, yes. When he was making sure everybody was strapped in as the ship went down, I thought, "There's my Jayne." :)

Keeping in mind that I've never seen any of Firefly (I know, strip me of my geek points), the feeling I got from Jayne was that he's very basic. He operates primarily from the animal urges in us all: fuck, fight, feed, protect the pack. Anything much more complex than that tends to confuse and therefore anger him.

Well, I think we all know that the world needs more Terminator fic, so now I'm just going to write ALL of it. ;)

And yeah ... because God knows I needed something aside from [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh and the Books of Boggs to drive me insane. *snerk*

I know quite a bit about guns and explosives. I know a little bit about radiation sickness. If you have a question, just ask.

What if you wrote the drabbles as independent scenes that, when strung together, told a larger story?
