For anybody who hasn't heard the jokes already, David Copperfield plans to "magic" a girl pregnant on stage.

Am I the only one who originally heard this news and thought it's pretty sad that David Copperfield is coming up with trick ideas that would make great GOB Bluth plotlines on Arrested Development?

EDIT: A majority would vote for a Democrat over President Bush if an election were held this year, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll released Tuesday.

...

...

There's just not enough *headdesk* in the world for that, is there?

Eh, those polls don't mean anything. Any anonymous member of an opposite party will beat an incumbent. They had those same polls during the Clinton administration, with the same results. It's when you get into specifics that it starts getting interesting. And you know what they say...the only poll that really matters is the one they take on Election Day.

Oh see, and here I thought you *were* talking about an upcoming arrested development.

*shakes head in disappointment*

Keep in mind, Copperfield is married to someone nicknamed "Schifferbrains". Something this stupid is what I've come to expect from him.

Eh, nothing's changed. The liberals are still going "Well, he's wrong, but let's make the best of it." The cons are going "Greatest president who ever LIVED!" And the wishy washy middlings are going "You know, I wish things were different."

::goes to swat stupid middling husband::

Ah, so America's not so much stupid as slow.

Like the difference between being gifted and special. Hooray.

Oh look, a bottle of vodka just magicked into my hand.
