apocalypsosQuick question ... am I the only unpublished writer who on every visit to Borders has to stop by the shelves their published books would end up on and just stare at it hopefully? God, I hope not, 'cause then I'd just feel weird. :)
So I went to the movies today, but instead of seeing GoF, I saw Good Night, and Good Luck, which was an excellent movie. (And to the lady behind me ... how the hell did you think the movie would end, with Fred Friendly and Ed Murrow punching McCarthy in the face? Sheesh.) Of course, I can just see it being remade in fifty years as a slapstick comedy, with every instant of "McCarthy" changed to "Bush", "Ed Murrow" changed to "Jon Stewart", "See It Now" changed to "The Daily Show", "Communism" changed to "terrorism", and the ending changed to involve a guy screwing a turtle.
EDIT: A clip of the first couple of minutes of "The Christmas Invasion". OH. Ohhhhhh. Can I just have Ten? I mean, not permanently ... there are people who'd kill me for keeping him. But maybe just for a week or so, to play with? Please? *puppy-dog eyes*
