Nov. 18th, 2005 09:46 pmI've been killing time on TARflies (when I should be writing, because I'm a dumbass) and I think I've realized that while I do want the Weavers to get eliminated and go on TES -- that's a given, because I get the impression Harry Smith doesn't like them at all -- what I really want that nobody else seems to want is for them to go to TARcon. Damn it, I don't want them to skip out! I want them to go, and I want them to think they're going to get some gracious reception, and knowing the people who go, I want them to be torn to shreds. *cackles maniacally* Yes, it's mean, but think about how they'd behave if they went -- either they'd act like assholes, or they'd act super-sweet and wonder why no one was being nice to them. Either way ... blech.
Also, Jon Heder and Will Farrell are going to play rival figure skaters pairing up in a new movie. Ooo-kay. The really cool part, though, is that Will Arnett and Amy Poehler are supposed to play their rivals. HEE! (Of course, the article features this gem -- The pairing of Arnett and Poehler would mark the first time the real-life husband-and-wife team will act together onscreen. -- which made me want to punch the writer in the face. You might want to rephrase that as the big screen, dingbat, because they've played a married couple on AD for most of the show's run.)
And there's a review of the TV Poseidon Adventure remake and an article about the making of the bigscreen Poseidon Adventure remake. And while a Sarah Connor TV series has brought up the subject of things I would be perfect for on a writing staff ... *points*

Date: 2005-11-20 04:19 pm (UTC)Actually, what I would LOVE is for them to get the Jonathan/Victoria treatment from TARCon 6 - they all walk in, it gets ridiculously quiet, and no one talks to them.
And then later they get the verbal smackdown from Miss Alli :P

And I really think that if Miss Alli doesn't say, "We don't hate you because you're Christian, we hate you because you're hypocritical assholes" to their faces, someone at TARcon will. (I think I've heard that exact phrasing from almost every TAR fan I've read.)
