*dies laughing* It amuses the hell out of me that I brought up my friends list and the top two icons were both Rodney McKay holding a gun in pretty much the exact same position in both pictures.

In any event, I really wish I'd started watching Supernatural sooner, if only because it gives me ideas and inspiration for the Books of Boggs that I could have used, you know, at the beginning of NaNo rather than at the end, when it's obvious I won't have the time to hit 50k. (Granted, a lot of the reason I won't be able to finish is because of the stupid job, but still.)

The big thing is, Dean reminds me a LOT of Sean. They're on different sides, of course -- Dean is fighting the supernatural and Sean IS supernatural -- but the two of them have more in common the more I watch. They're both snarky, they both feel more comfortable with a weapon in their hand, they're both big on shouldering a lot if not all of the responsibility and can get really overprotective. And they both have some major, MAJOR issues. Of course, that train of thought leads to Sam being the Naomi, and ... *snerk* Sam's just not that perky. :)

Oh, yeah. That's one of the bigger differences between the two of them, I think. Sam gets a weapon in his hand and he gets a little hyper, like he's flying on adrenaline. Not that he's not good with a gun, but he's not as comfortable with one as Dean. Dean gets a weapon in his hand and it's like he relaxes all over, and he always holds them like an extension of himself. He's the weapons guy, while Sam's more the researcher type. I do love the fact that even when he doesn't really need a pen, Dean always seems to be holding one or sticking one in his mouth while he's researching.

Heh. It's only been a week and a half and I'm so totally down on all their little quirks. *giggles*

And you know, I keep thinking that if there were a college degree in "professional ghostbusting warrior," Dean would have a higher grade point average than Sam, if that's even possible. ;)

Oh, yeah. Dean is the fighter...the warrior. Sam is the brains (and that psychic thing just plays into it).

Definitely. Although I do feel a little sorry for the both of them, because people get so fixated on them in those roles, I see a lot of people who don't give Dean enough credit for the smarts he has or Sam enough credit for his ability to fight.

I spent my whole vacation in Egypt this past week thinking 'I'm missing SN and Dean might be shirtless this week'. That and how I was going to miss advancing plots and such because I DO care about that stuff too.
