Oh, my God.

OH MY GOD.

Okay, I missed a lot because I kept flipping back and forth between this and Supernatural (yeah, because I haven't seen the episode about a half dozen times already ... ;)), but ... BREE! GEORGE! George full of pills and liquor all ODing on a hotel bed while Bree sits in her Marilyn Monroe dress and lies her pants off about the ambulance! I swear to God, I literally squealed out loud when she walked out of the room after George passed out that last time. YAY!

Susan's father is an ass. So it's genetic, then.

And Gabby vs. the nun is going to be the best fight ever.

"Money can't buy happiness."
"Oh, that's just a lie we tell poor people so they don't riot."

*is dead*

In other news, I have finally seen one episode of Black Books. Who the hell do I have to murder to get the rest of it?

I recommend getting the DVDs asap (there are only 3 seasons).

Then you find a nice irish man to say 'are these leather-bound pounds?' a lot. [1]

[1] In all fairness, we only mad him say it twenty or so times, giggling after each one.

My God, DH was actually really freaking good tonight. Only thing that concerns me is where they'll be taking Bree's character now that George will be out of the picture.

Well, considering next week's promo, I wouldn't be surprised if Andrew is going to start to be even a bigger problem than usual. After all, he's a sociopathic nutball who blames Bree for killing his father, sending him to boot camp, ruining his life, and probably for world hunger and the Iraq war while he's at it.

And yes, great episode. I'm half-tempted to call my parents's house and see if my dad is still awake to squee with him, the little fangirl that he is. That last fifteen minutes was friggin' amazing.

I didn't see the preview for next week (damn DVR cut it off), so I had forgotten about Andrew. What perfect timing :P

Basically you missed:

-- Gabrielle and the nun going head-to-head.
-- Susan's father asking her to bail him out of jail.
-- Andrew coming home from camp and pretty much treating Bree like a disease. And then she said something like, "I hate myself for what happened to your father," and he said, "That makes two of us."

I have Series 1 of "Black Books" on tape, and I can certainly copy it for you and send it with the first eight episodes of "Veronica Mars", four of which I've burned to CD this very evening. Series 2 is supposed to air in January on BBC America, I think, and if I can I'll get that and if so I can copy that for you too.

Bree ruled!

YAY! *pounces on you and snuggles* I seriously have to send you something one of these days. :)

And Bree is the coolest, although Gabrielle is growing on me this season for being just unapologetically selfish. I don't know why I love her for that, but I so totally do.

*beams and snuggles with you* I would love something from you someday, but there's no rush. :-) I sent your package out yesterday, and you should get it before the end of the week.

I love Gabrielle's selfishness too, and I don't know why. It's a mystery.

With ten minutes left to go in Mountain Time, and yes, I know the ending is AWESOME: this show can be so damn good. Between this and Grey's Anatomy, ABC has just about cornered the market on strong female characters in the current media marketplace. (Not that "strong" always means "likeable," but!)
