Okay, that's it. The more I look at this picture, the more I think I could totally make that little jacket thingy from a pair of my brother's old jeans. All I need is a seam ripper and a better pair of scissors.

So I guess I'm off to my parents's house to rummage through the attic for my sewing machine and his castoffs, then. :)

*giggles* Project Runway is a reality show on Bravo. It's a bunch of wannabe fashion designers who go through the season designing outfits according to challenges, and one designer gets voted out every week. The last three left come up with their own lines to show at Fashion Week in New York, and the best designer wins $100,000 to start their own line. If you like pretty clothes, it's a lot of fun to watch. (That particular outfit was from last week's challenge, when they were told after a celebratory "Welcome to the show!" party that they were going to have to design an outfit from the clothes off their backs.)

Ah, I see. Runway makes sooo much more sense than Runaway, but I must have read it that way because I decided that the woman looked like she was trying to do runaway-chic. ;)

Funny you say that, because I have a pair of jeans that I bought while I was in California and didn't realize they weren't going to fit. I was going to try and exchange them for something else, but this actually sounds more fun.

I've already started doing it, and it's seriously easy. I've still got some work to do on it, mostly just finishing up the seams I ripped open, but aside from that, it's pretty much done. (And then it's into a drawer for four months. *sigh* Stupid winter.)
