I almost forgot to share the conversation I had with my brother before. See, every year we pretty much spy for one another. I'll go to Mom and say, "So, just so I know what to get Bryan, what did you get him?" Then he'll go and ask about me, and then we'll trade notes. It only took her, what, seventeen years or so, but she finally figured out our wily tricks. *giggles*

Anyway, I only know one of Bryan's presents so far, so I'm not telling. (It's a good one, so I just can't bring myself to ruin it.) Which is why during Serenity, I got this:

Bryan: *all fake-casual* So ... do you know what I'm getting this year?
Me: Only the one thing, but I'm not telling.
Bryan: Oh, come on!
Me: Nope.
Bryan: Pleeeeeease.
Me: Well, it's bigger than a breadbox and smaller than a car.
Bryan: *grins triumphantly* I know what it is now.
Me: You do not.
Bryan: Sure I do. I know exactly what I'm getting.
Me: Oh, you do not.
Bryan: Sure! Tell me what it is, and I'll see if I'm right.
Me: *eye roll*

In summation, I think we've established that my brother will never work in real espionage.

He could work in real espionage. If his boss was Daffy Duck. Or a Bush.

*snorts and laughs*

Did he honestly expect that to work?

Well, clearly, if it's bigger than a breadbox but smaller than a car, it must be a go-kart - built entirely out of breadboxes.

Really? Sounds to me like he has a bright future in the Bush Administration's CIA...

Then again, the way things have been going, if bin Ladin were working at a 7/11 in downtown Washington, I wouldn't expect the CIA to have a clue about it.
